T67 / T68 (hasn't happened but listen I have time tonight).
I've been saving this song for the diplo game for a while.
This will be the front most city down by Ginger. Settle back for a couple of reasons. Worker labor efficiency, more tiles in 1st ring, and 2nd ring culture will get 2nd clam of Roots.
Ginger and I have had um a rocky relationship so far this game and I want to compare it to my NW. SD free sharing of maps (like full non modified) and other information. Tarkeel also freely sharing maps and information. Early on I agreed to let SD get the stone and Tarkeel and I recently agreed to him getting the dry wheat up there. Both resources should be mine; however, I'm giving them up. Mind, its more imperative for me to make deals here as well. Since for reasons of Commodore and map reviewers not being able to count I started close to SD that has shaped my diplomacy pretty heavily. I forgot to change sign, but Tarkeel will be settling 1E of the mountain up there and obviously I won't settle that filler.
VS Ginger, who from the start has been deceptive and hasn't shared maps and barely any other information. He is also trying to claim much better land. Now for Tarkeel and SD I SAW how bad their territory was (other than moved SD capital) and Tarkeel did have a fast start but not much past. With Ginger, WHO KNOWS!!! So sure that area of my empire has resources, but Ginger saying "GIVE ME because you have a lot" A) doesn't take into account the rest of my empire, B) I have no way of knowing if he actually is short on, C) he has Bing to expand into, and D) I don't need him.
Especially with Tarkeel and SD maybe getting in a tussle I'm actually hoping he makes the mistake of trying to put a city 1E of the dry rice. Would let me slow him down.
I'm pretty sure Charriu is just going to win this game in a walk btw. Something about OP civ plus sandbox start, and plus of course Charriu is pretty good.
Anyways, I have 2 settlers out with 2 more in the works. Although the two in queue will be predicated on worker timing. For instance I'm finishing cottage for capital before going SW and settling turn chop finishing instead of turn before for western cow. Cows with mediocre tiles can definitely wait a turn or three. Cottaging will be commencing shortly; most cities that aren't capital and WheretoGoJohnny will be whipping workers meant to cottage. Even those two are doing workers to keep below happy cap while waiting on timing for settler whips.
