Something I remember reading a long time ago (in the VAX computer fortune cookie file, I think?):
Quote:69 hex = 105 decimal and 105 octal = 69 decimal, which is a nice property.

That's a good one.
Kids don't use calculators much anymore, do middle school boys even know what 80,085 or 28,008 means anymore?

Really looking forward to the leader/civ matrix roll.
Map. I'm hoping for the cold end of a Dying Moosesnake:
Just about the Civ4 ideal. They're unbalanced, but natural map games really are the most entertaining.

Yeah, I laughed at the thread title too. I knew somebody going somewhere with this number would be unavoidable. I was tempted to skip it up to 70 but then didn't when the request in the admin thread specifically called it 69.

naufragar as Montezuma of Spain
Ginger as Joao II of Celts Oh boy. Well, my civ is a nullity but I might be able to make something fun with Salad Tin.

Full analysis to come, but ranking just the random rolls:
1. Pacal of Mali
2. Victoria of Carthage
3. Mansa Musa of Sumer
4. DeGaulle of Rome*
5. Joao of Celts
6. Tokugawa of Khmer
7. Saladin of Germany
8. Montezuma of Spain
*Because no other Industrious present.
So Pindicator, given skill level, is far and away the favorite to win, unless Ginger or Gavagai manage to eat a hapless victim fast. Us along at the very bottom at least should be decently unpleasant to kill. I do want to look at possibly making Caste/Pacifism swaps to snap a quick Chemistry bulb into Protective Rissengarde masses if I am relevant past the knights era, but that's a long hard road on a natural map with no economy traits outside of Protective.
