Or just plain stupidity. Low iq. People dont just pick up a gun and go "i know what im going to do today!" I dont want to sound like the Gun-totin' Far right, but... Guns dont kill people.. People kill people. Does it make it easier to kill multiple people? Yep. So does molotovs, bombs, and any other terroristic act.

I WANT better gun control laws, but i dont want Jowy's European style gun laws where only police and military can carry them/possess them. Im not conspiracy theorist at all, i dont believe the gubment is gonna come and subjugate us if we dont have guns to defend ourselves. Im simply worried more about someone who is physically stronger than me harming me, my family, or my things. My firearm evens the playing field.

If I'm in charge the police for damn sure aren't getting guns lol.

SD, what do the words sane and insane mean to you? In fact, what does the term mental health mean?

I wouldn't give a troop of Chimpanzees guns and expect less than "last chimp standing", and we haven't evolved much past them.

I've said before that if the US wants to be a gun country we should do so responsible like other countries; however, that leaves out the elephant in the room. And more specifically the propaganda and money coming from the NRA to said elephant.

We have a situation in the US where even if sensible gun laws get passed, a majority of the states counties may just not follow them. There are gun laws on the books that would make police officers safer (such as those related to domestic violence which are some of their most dangerous calls) yet the police often choose not to enforce them even though it might cause their own deaths. It isn't a mystery why. Law enforcement often leans right and has been told taking away guns is bad. So even when the law allows guns to be taken away or not sold in dangerous circumstances, they are often ignored.

Edit: I guess what I'm saying is the first step to gun reform both law and culturally is that the NRA needs to go first.

Sadly, a second step to gun reform is probably police reform.

Start by firing the 40% who beat their wives, then the 60% who haven't been caught yet.

If you have kids, i can maybe see that being a good idea. But i for one wouldnt want to be fumbling around for my shotgun, or handgun and its ammo in the dark while someone is breaking and entering.

To me, insane means they follow their own set of rules or are so looney that rules dont apply to them. Their goals >everything/one else. Insane to me is anyone ruled by their emotions. That doesnt mean you cant be overcome with joy/ect at times, but making a decision based on non-rational reasons.. thats what makes someone either temporarily or totally insane.

Im sure none of this goes along with the science of sane/insane ect, and thats fine. Im not a mental health professional.

Bonus points if we can take away qualified immunity.
