[69] Ginger and Miguelito do as fortune commands

but I'm sure the lurkers would love to see it.

I know Mig thinks C shaped empires are fine. Especially when the other person refuses open borders.  neenerneener

And yes we would. Assuming your successful you can always tech afterwards. Tech into land or land into tech.

Nauf did refuse OB to our mutual loss of trade just before so... yeah this is deja vu.

Attacking engaged players without a massive tech (and mfg) advantage is quite difficult, so I'm not optimistic, also more land is more to defend, target on your back for the future and a vulnerability right as everyone hits their new medieval toys. And if we do go Horse Archers its ironically probably not Naufragar we attack, so we're going to be in standing army hell.
Turning land into tech is similarly difficult when the land in question is super brown.

I need to figure out one of the following:
A) build an economy on the cities I currently have (probably mids-centered, we'll see)
B) find a timing window to grind down Nauf (Or attrit with two movers?)
C) distract Nauf elsewhere so I can storm Carthage or Sumeria with horchers? it's all very yucky.

Naufragar has Stone and certainly the Mfg to build Pyramids but would he really do it after Oracling Monarchy? Well if anyone is crazy enough he is. I think even SD would frown at that level of redundancy, and Sumeria just built GLH. Plus Gav appears ot be in a turnsplit so hammers elsewhere please?

Can we see a picture of the war (?) front? Zoomed out culture is fun but not the same wink

There's no war front and there likely won't be until naufragar retaliates. This attack was a combination of "don't pinkdot me" and "speed bump the leader"
And no, I refuse to believe that nauf's lead is purely wonder inflated, that Mfg speaks for itself and i have enough respect for him as a player to know he'll have the upperhand reaping the benefits from SPI and Monarchy as the game drags on. Also we're probably out of cities to settle, so the joao juice has run out right about now

How is maintenance at the end of turn calculated?
Like I'm researching a tech with 0 gold to spare. What will cause maintenance ticks up on the interturn?
Is commerce calculation before or after growth and unit production? Should I stop growth or not produce any units?
Assume inflation isnt a factor bc I can't control that anyways

Iirc research is processed first, so the main fear is losing income from lessened trade, but that shouldn't be an issue here.

Okay we flawlessly end with Writing finished EOT and 0 gold in our bank  pimp

As a certain enterprising Kazakh journalist would say, Veerrryy Niiice

We should also have pyramids in about 6-8 turns, which is very slow timing for a standard pitboss, but this is a poor map, and Magic Science, Bing, and Superdeath do not have stone, Commodore and Gavagai are warring, Pindicator is Financial, and Naufragar Oracled Monarchy.
The likeliest builder would be Pindicator and maybe Commodore if he's multitasking, so while I'm nailbiting the really slow timing, I feel a little confident that we might just make it in time.

Ofc Naufragar has excellent MFG and stone so he could pull it off, but I think it's likelier that he wants failgold. I know I would be happy if he built it for us and gifted us the gold to turn into miltech to take it  mischief
A dollar says he's thinking along a similar line lol
