No trade route to 2nd city without roads.
PH + Forest Banana will give you quick first worker.
Capital is meh later game. Not enough hills for production or river for commerce. But river in both directions is promising for the early game commerce.
Tons of green! Cottage early and often!

I’ll let you post Civ and leader thoughts. I don’t want to push you in any direction since this is your game.

Thoughts on Egypt/Imp/Phi? (Suleiman?) Figure if borders are real close, War Chariots are a nice cheap way to adjust them. IIRC, Egypt's UB monument grants a priest specialist? Figure PHI to pump out priest(s) for an early shrine, grab some monk wonders one way or another.. and IMP for the general shitting out of settlers.

Not opposed to Ethiopia for the merchant specialist/eventual musket UU.

This is all if we get Snake pick. Open to some other random ideas as well. Extra points for either a fun UU, or a gimmick UB to exploit.

Isn't Ethiopia's Merchant specialist an RtR thing?

Sounds good to me.

Capital is a poor long-term commerce/production site, but with +12 food surplus for 6 specialists it will be a good great person pump! Since the wheat and corn are in the 2nd ring towards rivers we should be able to split off one to the 2nd city and one to the 3rd city for fast expansion!

9 forests can give you a wonder of your choice.

Mids if no IND/we get stone somewhere. Otherwise... GLib?

Baseline first run through. First settler EOT28 without whipping, all three resources connected, one mine (required or settler is delayed a turn, but is as good as a food resource when building settlers).

Short on time so I didn't try anything else yet.

Looks pretty good to me. Ill try and sim either later today, or tomorrow after work. Thanks!

You could potentially delay Bronze Working until after Animal Husbandry and Pottery, relay on War Chariots for defense and only adopt slavery when ready to whip granaries. IMP can get settlers quick enough without whipping. You can swap the first two food resources away to pick up plains hill mine and plains hill forest to keep production up.
