I've always liked the spiritual artist border pops.

Well it's capture not raze gold, Com means if he can't capture it due to reinforcements then no worries.
Yeah, as I said, he's got to the potential to reinforce, and hey, there he did. He won the 30% against my spear and then lost the 70% against my axe. Fair enough.
![]() He must have stripped his Rome garrison to do this. It'd be an opportunity for Pindicator to take if he was ready, but he's in AI_Builder_Mode, he isn't mentally prepared for it I'm willing to bet.

I have fourteen axes. I might be able to just go all in anyway if he doesn't manifest more chariots.

Sometimes. when you're Spiritual, you find that you just change things for the sake of changing things.
...not really though, giving my holy city some love and another border pop, plus the core who gained it need the happy. Might manage monarchy next turn, definitely the turn after, that'll give a lot more happiness room in all cities for some proper growth and other shenanigans. After, Construction and we can properly end Gav.

Is Buddhism or Confucianism the long-term plan?Probably going to have both well-spread, at least anywhere where I need good happiness. That said, if Naufleagore gets his thumb out and actually completes the AP, I'm probably going to prefer Buddhism just because I'm going to want a temple in every city. He also got the MoM, so he'll have a great economy tool for post-Roman rebuilding. I'm just clawing my way up to my goals. Getting Monarchy at the end of turn, but only barely, check this silly setup out: Peaky Peninsula is Buddhist and needs to whip courthouses desperately. Hanging Gardens run about to begin; I'm able to do a respectable 24 base hpt in Hefeweizen, which means 42 hpt into the 300h wonder. Seven turns, with the tiny trickle of overflow starting.

While I have artists available, might as well cram in the last filler. City #13, Schwarzbier, only has a single unique decent tile but it’s useful for two things...it’s got a source of dye plus a trading dye, too Even more important, though, it’s a poke-out bit of territory to tempt Magic Science or Nufflebug if one of them thinks that he needs to knock me down a peg. This city is designed to be lost like a skink’s tail if one of them looks restive. It’s good, because the darn thing cost an arm and leg.
With the Obvious Pindicator Hammer heading to Gavagai, I offered him peace for Cumae. I don’t know if I should actually hope he takes it, I think I’d rather he retreat and I get the nice economic break of “resistance”. Or he reinforces even more and I’m really really screwed. Thirteen cities now, possibly fourteen next turn. I, uh, really don’t want to be looked at as the tall poppy here.

MECHANICS QUESTION: If I complete the Hanging Gardens in my capital, I know that resolves before other cities' growth, meaning they'll need an extra two food to grow that turn. What's the order in the capital itself? Can I grow, then complete and grow again, or is it production that resolves first?
