Thanks Jowy. Re my game plan ... I have decided that I will follow any signed treaty to the letter (ie lawyer everything to death) but will play fast and lose with unofficial communication ... forgetting things, mis-remembering things, always to my advantage. I will give everyone a chance by asking that they send me formal agreements that I can ratify instead of relying on informal agreements (which aren't worth jack!).
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

yeah - lots of food, looks like a peninsula and no hills. I'm guessing they are all like this.

Fishing is your first tech, especially as a Fin civ. Get at least 1 work boat out for that fish.
Until then, you have 2 choices: warrior or worker. The warrior can stay at home to defend if barbs are awful, or you fear getting noob starting warrior rushed, or explore.
The worker you build until fishing is in, then swap - this is the start I did in PB1, it was the fastest start even though I was Exp. You aren't here, and going BW first is a crap decision: chopping the forests puts you at about the same level of production as working the fish, but the forests are a one use resource; saving them 20 turns and using them then, and the fish now, is better than using them now to equal the fishes production now and working a crappy unimproved wheat tile.
fwiw, Tech path can probably go either Fishing>agri>BW, or Fishing>BW>agri.
If you want to build a work boat to try and get contacts for tech devaluation boni, then you probably need to go worker first, then work boat, and get BW last...or you could be really hard core, and try slaving out work boats...but as contacts are not as important due to the NTT nature of the game, then you could perhaps not focus on this as much.
But that is something to think about in 4 or so turns. I say explore with your starting warrior to search for second city sites, to figure out how quickly you need a settler. The sooner you need a setter, the more important BW is IMO, for slaving out that settler from your capital due to the high food count in your cap. You could even consider overlapping with capital to share food res, which would decrease the need for workers, meaning you could feasibly get a settler even sooner.

I'd also consider settling 2E of the clam - this would justify getting a second WB to hook that tile earlier, growing to size 4 faster, and going BW second. You do only have 4 forests worth chopping though...hmmm. I suggest you make a sim and play it out a few times one way to spend a Saturday
You would then have overlap with the furs and a grass hill, so those 2 cities could work the good tiles, plus a cottage or two per city, meaning that longer term you expand 1 city further than anyone else.

When you swapped to the WB did you go max hammers? Leave it on max growth? How quickly did you push that first wb out?

I worked a forest plains hill for like 12 turns, into the worker and then WB, then the fish for a further 5. Stuck at size 1 for over 20 turns....
