Oof, MJMD really needs to stop reaching for historical analogies to justify his position.

Again, most history now when nations violated the unequal treaties forced upon them don't blame the parties the treaties were forced upon. Unlike in games in real life I'm not a fan of war as a solution, but many times people have chosen that route. But I go against an unequal treaty forced upon me and because I wouldn't get totally killed just partially killed its considered "bad". There is a reason the British supplied the Native Americans with guns; they knew they weren't happy about the treaties forced upon them and if they had weapons to fight back they would. Again, I'm pretty sure we have more closet imperialists than you think. Give some Asian powers a modern navy back in the 1800s and I think many of the "treaties" that were signed under naval artillery would not have lasted long. And I doubt history would remember the Asian powers as being in the wrong.

I'm not sure if games with SD (because he is a total loose cannon) and Mjmd (because you can't trust him and have to treat the relationship as AW) which totally unbalances, well, everything unless they are locked together on an island somewhere.

It's definitely why I stopped playing werewolf. I loved that game but it swallowed my life. If I could do it again and guarantee I would get a werewolf I'd still consider doing it again. I'd definitely be willing to host. I don't think I got super emotional though? And never about a werewolf. In that game you get annoyed at people who are annoying or obstinate, and only mad if you think or discover they're town - if they're the bad guy then they're just playing well.

Man I need to stop checking MJMDs thread. Every time I do I lose 15 minutes to another reply.

I'm so fucking pissed. The mind boggling arrogance and condescension. The "I've used logic which no one can or has counter". The I'm using analogies because you can't understand legal reasoning. This assertion without any justification when I've argued many times about wounding and existential attacks:
Quote:Lets stick to this example Q. 3 cities or 1/6 IS duress. You can try to alter the scenario (IE set up a strawman), but the actual scenario I believed IS duress. Having studied such things you know you therefore can't win that argument so you are attempting to deflect
I just can't even.

If that's the logic for what counts as legal duress, I'd hate to see his logic for democracy.

To be honest there comes a point where ostracism enters the conversation. I can state that I will not play in a game Mjmd is in because that shit is just not worth dealing with. My decision, in and of itself, doesn't do much but depending on what each poster chooses to do in relation to that there is far greater effect.
