On a different topic, I am amused by Charriu saying he is trying to keep scooter's morale up via diplo, contrasted to scooter frustrated by Charriu's lack of military buildup, which still seems to be ~10 turns away based on his GA timing. How effective will a stack of muskets/WEs/cats be by that point?
And I think superdeath did not intend to show scooter that his border city with Mjmd is building a Market, but the semi-transparent interface betrayed him

A good-sized stack? Can be plenty effective. But I'm not sure Charriu's going to get the masses he needs for a full-fledged invasion.

What, seriously? He made a sleazy move, and people will use it when evaluating in the future. I don't think even Scooter has said that he would never play with Mjmd afterward, just that he'd treat him differently.
Or are you referring to his posting? Because surely a player is allowed to be goofy in the comfort of his own thread especially when lurkers keep dropping by to challenge him.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.

We need to encourage more MJMD playing, not less, this deranged ranting is some of the most entertaining stuff we've had in years.

For the record, I think the lurkers are a bit out of line going into Mjmd's thread like this. Even if you disagree with his decision or motives (fwiw, I think the decision is fine, but the justification is questionable), he should be allowed to post his own feelings on the game there. Criticise him (at this length and severity) in the lurker thread now, or in his thread after the game, but his thread during the game is not the place for such discussions.
To answer Q's initial question: yes, I think you should have deleted that rant. It isn't, or shouldn't be, acceptable to attack a player in their own thread about anything subjective, even if you feel quite strongly about it. If nothing else, most of the time we don't have a good enough understanding of the game state to do so.

I've tried to keep my posts focused explaining why he is wrong in his assumptions and why his move would be seen as bad rather than just saying, you are bad. But if that's too much I'll refrain from that as well.

Edit: some people may even claim you would be dishonorable for insulting someone where they can't defend themselves, but obviously the lurkers know all about honor.
Pin at some point if you can kindly go over the options I presented and give opinions I would appreciate it.
He asked for feedback in his thread. He might not like it but he got it.

The play is sleazy and shows that he can't be trusted. That alone reflects on him as a person, and to be clear, I do not want to be associated with him because of his value base which has been further solidified by his posts, included his accusations of other players cheating in PB66. I do not think goofy is how I would describe him.
Keep in mind he is not the only person I would not play with in the future. Lord Parkin for example.
Note scooter hasn't seen the the player thread so take his reaction with a pinch of salt.

I think that's a perfectly reasonable reaction, Amicaloa, and if you'd told me that at the time I would have moved it here. It would have saved us all some bother.
I don't know if I'd play with MJMD. Probably if he wanted to play FFH2, because the player base is so small. His arguing about it since has certainly made me less interested.

I mostly agree with this, but as a counterpoint, Mjmd was complaining very loudly about the opposite. Personally, I've taken a break from reading his thread.
