It definitely was, as that's a regular engineer, not a great one. Pity he couldnt keep this forge from buning down

Oh, lol, none of this might actually matter at all. Pindicator is 1-turning Constitution. I think unless we rapidly turn around and Nouflgluggle is willing to outright run his units across the world to help, Pindicator may well just straight up win.

If so, it's a legit diplo win. Gavagai and Bing voted for him 100% by gifting their empires to him, so well played Pin I guess.

Okay, game is almost over. Only way to stop the juggernaut that is Pindicator is to have a three-party dogpile:
This would require:
-Magic Science to forego vengeance, instead conquer SD/Bing/Pin wartornia.
-Me to be an anvil against mass drafted rifles and soon cavs with just risengarde and cannons.
-Nooflluger to be willing to FULL COMMIT to an expeditionary force north to attack and burn.

This is a long shot, but Pin's about to Lib, at the very least, DEMOCRACY or COMMUNISM. So, I sent a 12 turn counter and we'll try to organize this.

Meanwhile, trying to conquer the little one...

...and success, but lost a 52%, a 53%, an 80%, and an 81% first.

Three turns to clear the deck here at last. Really hope Nauflgrower's massive economy can handle loaning me money for Steel and still forcing Pin to take Liberalism.

I secured the loan. No point in saving seed corn anymore, so fire that Great Engineer...
...and it's down to 2t, which I can just barely manage with empire-wide wealth builds. Of course, Pin's going to be more than capable of flanking the cannons we all own:

I think as interesting as this game has been, it's all done but for the screaming. Pin offered a hilarious "both war with Noafreguer in 20t", but we're now officially at the point that I could conquer every single non-Mali city, for as free as Bing and Gavagai to Pin, and it wouldn't matter in time:

Pin's winning this, but I can't find it in myself to be peeved with him. Bing's throw was one thing, but the initial dogpile plan had Magic Science and Pindicator joining in, if MS had split the Wasted Lands up north this might have been more of a fight. Annoyed with Nauf for not waiting 3-4t on his revenge war against MS, but it's AI diplo, no idea if he ever knew what he ruined. Magic Science is pretty inert now, but I suspect he'll be hitting Naelgalg in the back if he sends me an expeditionary force. Worth trying, but I'm not impressed with the odds.

Whew, okay, Last Battle...

...after sending in the cats, it was a pretty soft city. I like it.

And done, just one more risengarde lost.

Offered my 10% loan interest to Nauflgru now that I have the cash.

Seriously, my annoyance aside, that was a good defense Bing. I didn't expect quite that level of 100% garrison stripping to your north, but I always knew I'd bear the brunt of the pain. Just wish MS had been able to split half the Squandered Lands with Pin in the north. What I took is absolutely beautiful:

Henceforth, there is only...

Nah, I have a single cottage to get me solvent this turn. Free strike turn next turn, then wealth in one city to be in the black, then another strike turn, then I'm done paying off the loan from Nugget.

Speaking of which, he seems to have beaten Pindicator to Liberalism...
Canny on Pin's part. He's winning handily, so he doesn't want to panic the horses. I think Knowledgegraur is smart enough to not relax just because Pin didn't convert Lib, it's still urgent as heck to dogpile him before he hits a space default (nukes, etc). Man I hope.

Hilarity. I can't propose War with Pindicator with Magic Science anymore, because of the power I guess?

Also fun, since I'm striking this turn anyway, I figured why not go for broke:

Every commerce is a waste, so why not configure for max hammers/beakers?

I'm d-pacted with Pindicator, which hopefully slows his drafting, and helps to ensure nobody kicks off early. I want to do the same to Nooffles, make sure this stays focused on the Main Event. Really hard to coordinate.

I actually think the defensive pact might be the reason why you can't propose war.
