I'm looking forward to Commodore's reaction to Plemo sinking his galley.

I'd say there's at least a 60% chance of Commodore deciding the game is lost anyway so might as well go into AW mode vs the game leading player who just pointlessly sank his galley.

With the map layout it's valid tactic to deny information, and Commodore might not be that fussed.

If he was going to send a galley he could have war peaced before sending galley and then offered open borders so trade routes weren't worth anything. Unsure how Plemo would feel, but he might be hopeful would keep open after. I am curious if the 3 people who do have open borders are currently sending scouts through or just idiots. Pin may just want chances for his religion to spread, but unsure if that is worth it.

I don't like Tarkeel putting New Augustus on the coast. They should have settled 1E. I get they probably want a safer source of horse, but A) they probably won't be building many horse units anytime soon, B) coast is bad vs vikings. C) It would have gotten to share a cow if you least wanted to set it up to whip some units. Right now its just an economic drain that will have to be defended.

I also get they are trying to economically crawl back into this with improving nets and building libraries and there is always a chance something distracts Plemo in the west, but I wouldn't have given Plemo peace there. At least should have razed Aarhus. They are just so behind and an obvious expansion target for Plemo with an awkward border to boot.

Its probably too late, but GKC did miss last turn, so instead of retreating or counter attacking his stack is going to get hit twice by Metal. I'm assuming its just tough luck you missed your turn?

Edit: I'll note that if he had requested a reload especially shortly after turn roll I 100% would have been fine giving him one, but he hasn't.

Could also switch turn order. IE Metal played last switch GKC to first.

Just to respond a bit to Gingers tech thread post. Of the 3 people who can give extensions two of them were unaware of the turn split most likely (Tarkeel and SD; didn't want to point out this point in tech thread) and I'm barely cognizant due to year end for my job. Also, barely anyone is reporting over there. So when Tarkeel posted the turn was going to roll I just missed that there was a war involved. In general I do think war turns should probably get extensions unasked for up to a point.

After Metal asked I did reach out to GKC but have not heard a response yet.

For some reason I thought double fail gold had been fixed, but evidently only if you build it you can't earn.
