[spoilers] Commodore rolls it lolrandom.

I was wondering when this would come. Trireme bumped into a pair of galleys, I'm sure a million more are coming.

Need to *try* to take that barb city before landing Hanging Gardens.

Oh, by the way, I'm not bulbing Civil Service....because I've got my shrine instead. dance

Opted to not kick off with Yuri just now, I'm 3t out from crossbow-enabling Machinery. Crossbows will do wonders against everything he has, and I believe RtR still has trebs there too.

A good turn, but had the chance to be great one. Two quecha, an axe, and a spear at this barb city...

Nope. Darn. First two only knocked the archers down to 2.5 and 2.0, respectively. Hill makes a huge difference for archers, the flatland barb cities were great but this one is going to be a lot more work.

Will still be worth if when the time comes. Might need cover crossbows. It's a pity, I would have been able to land Machinery at EoT if I'd had a pile of capture gold. Shrine landing did help the ol' econ, though, so just one turn's delay.

Never mind. The real meat of the turn was this:

Stoneless Hanging Gardens aren't too painful with IND/Org Religion/forge.

There's definitely a target on my back as I had this >100pt turn. And it's not even for a wrong reason, my current status while saving gold says "PANIC":

I want crossbows and maces ASAP, this was enough to make my neighbors dogpile almost by default.

Thanks, now I just have to survive the dogpile. Machinery is in finally, although no iron connected for another three turns, so there's not crossbows or swords yet. I do have trebuchets building; one will clean that barb city out very nicely, while the rest are my collateral for the incoming Yurian and/or Pindicanian hordes.

I'm still on the beeline to Civil Service, this Bureaucap is getting the final mine/cottage within six turns. I might wait on the revolt to also grab Theocracy real quick, but we'll see. This thing is almost Ottawa-like:

Clipping along at a decent pace; iron hooked next turn and trebuchets are starting to roll out. The game is pleased with my progress:

Silliest little event, but I won't cry about it.

Finances stable, but they're about to really bloom with about 30gpt in courthouse savings in the next 4-5 turns. I'm already at the conqueror's plateau, the terrace was just throwing me:

(Tiles just got reassigned, those will be cottage/mine by EoT, no worries.

This...might have been overkill.

Three trebs made the archers incredibly fragile, even warriors could have done this. Nice city, absurdly foody for the map, I'll at least calve off the sheep.

The capture gold had me start Civil Service. This will not only obsolete my quechua, but it also means I'm benefiting less from the irrigation chaining of the terraces. It's fine.

First caribou, then deer, now moose...how many +8f events are there???

Now I'm curious if it's just one event that picks a random name for the flavor text, or if there are actually a whole bunch of food surplus events in the list.

Also, I've always thought it too bad that trebs see so much less play than catapults. Would it have been too much to make them base strength 5 and tone down the city attack bonus to +60% to match?
