Well done! It a good thing™ that a little warring went on between the AI, and the location of your empire helped a little too. Nothing much worse than troops on their way through your undefended hartland heading for your neighbour when suddenly peace breaks out... hart stopping!

Or will them having troops on your terf stop them from declaring in cIV? Hmm, something to try...

If they declare war on you, all of their troops are moved outside your borders. They can't do a formerly-peaceful hostile takeover.

No, no...try it like this, "Okay, so he did it with the peaceful civs, but it would be IMPOSSIBLE to do it with the violent, crazy civs. [...]"

I will try it out under "normal" conditions, and report about it no matter how it will turn out. I already have some ideas how to do it, though.
