About 42% of the time you got bad guys. Maybe not such a bad gamble?

Heck if Amelia is nearby bad guys might be a good result!

Okay turn 5 played. I used the Scout to pop the ruin, I usually do this if nothing has spawned in the early game. Any result that isn't bad guys is good:

Our Scout is born and heads for the hut. Warrior #1 is almost home. Warrior #2 is due in 4 turns (even with city growth factored in).

Got 26g from the hut frown. Two huts, under 50g kind of sucks but oh well. Found our first barbarian, a Goblin to the SW.

Scouting thoughts?

I think western scout needs to go south and then southeast. That scout can move opportunistically but should generally clear the 4th-5th capital rings I think. Eastern scout to silk, and maybe then north and northwest over a few turns, eventually shooting off in a straight direction to meet people.

Yeah, it does suck, but gold is better than barbs. Not much better, but still better. smile

Agreed, but we've been very careful to only use Scouts so far...only maps would have been worse cry.

@sunrise - If the Goblin moves SE we would end up right next to him, right?

We move onto the plains hill south of the river. If the goblin moves SE we move SE next turn too. Goblins are just 1-movers, right?

EDIT: Do we not have movement?

That was the screenshot from after I hit end turn, so the Goblin will move before we get the save back.
