[spoilers] Rusty, Creaky, and Cranky: Thoth yells at clouds

I watched the FLying Hellfish episode the other day.

I forgot just how terrible the Simpsons were.

I enjoyed the 1st 10 seasons. It went rapidly downhill after that.

On topic disorganized thoughts:

Civ: One of Rome, Vikings, Maya, Zulu, Mongolia
Leader: Boudicia for fun, Cha Maya on a happy starved map might not be overkill, Agg to buff UUs and help out with unit costs.

If we take Zulu then we want Agg, non Agg Ikhandas suck.

Agg/Cha Prats and Cats is going to be hard to counter.

Vikings want Org and either Cha or Agg. 4 move galleys sound nice but Feudalism and Theocracy may be a bit of a reach techwise for this game.

What's the three legged snake pick about? And we are playing on a known map right?

AGG/CRE seems like a nightmare to deal with.

Look, I'm down for whatever you want to play, but Boudicca is always a fun first pick for these style games until you realise that the game is won by cats and having the biggest, not the best stack.

Then again, she can whip harder than anyone else so there is that.

And if players knowingly start on copper I'd say just pick China with any but the NE start, and plan for a GE bulb to unlock the UU and ignore every other form of specialist. NE start could pick Rome and go wb first whilst researching BW and then whip out hte worker. So sure, pick Boudicca.

Boudy isn't the best possible leader, she's just a lot of fun.

If we're going China and bulbing, Philo speeds things up (not simmed).

Lincoln of China? Fast bulb, Cha for extra whippage. I'm underwhelmed at the thought, but that might just be low blood sugar.

I doubt phi matters. The only real points to China is if it gives perfect start techs for a whipped worker and warrior first OR straight worker and BE first, to react to other picks. In that sense it could cover a weakness in Boudicca but then CTH just makes all leaders start at the same pace so who cares. The UU is just a back up ( research MC and then just accept the slow path to Machinery whilst covering the other techs like HBR IW and Construction, whilst mass producing units and force everyone else to gring their tech rate to 0...but you still get collateral at the end of the day.

Happiness is going to be an issue on this map.

Gold, 2 contested camp lux and 2 contested calendar lux.

Typically 2 lux until Calendar. I don't want to tech Calendar.

But I do like Cha on this map and this may be one of the very rare cases where Cha Ball Courts aren't overkill.

And I do like the elegant simplicity in skipping HBR, MC, and pretty much everything else that isn't Iron Working and Construction that comes with playing Rome.
Boudi needs 4xp to have Formation prats that will handle anything this side of knights.

So it might not be optimal but what i think I want to play is Boudy of either Rome or Maya.

Hamurabi of Viking might be fun too.
