Imperium Nineteen - Pax Crystallica - Now Open!

This was supposed to open last Monday, but I finally got it up today. In any case, it looks like it should be quite an adventure for all who participate!

Hmmm ... we have to choose a blood enemy (if we choose one at all) before our race "completes the tech tree." I'm inclined to assume completing the tree means having no techs left to research in any field except for "Advanced" techs; is that right? (No, I don't really expect this to actually come up in anyone's game; I'm just taking thoroughness to excess.)

Yes. smile

Seems contradictory - if we eliminate two rivals, there are only three left. Should it be

Good catch. The above is how the rule should read. smile

Looks another fun scenario. Unfortunatley I will no longer have the time to play this or, probably, future Imperium. I will keep checking the forum and hope to see some good write-ups of what I have missed. Good luck everyone.

Sorry to hear that - I've definitely enjoyed reading your reports (humbling though they be - your skill at this game still amazes me). Not having time for this Imperium though ... well, I can empathize.

I haven't had much time for computer gaming in the past few weeks, and anticipate having even less in the next week and a half; I'll see how far I can get, and do my best to finish this one by the deadline, but it's not looking promising. Playing Silicoids in a huge galaxy for 500 turns is ... extreme. I'll actually start having a little more time (I think, maybe) after the deadline, so I wondered if anyone else participating in this event is facing the same kind of time crunch I am? If everyone else anticipates finishing on time (or just wants to start up a new scenario soon regardless of whether people have finished this one or not) that's all right with me, and I'll put together some kind of report on whatever I've accomplished by closing day. But if others would like some more time to finish this one as well, would it make sense to extend the deadline?

If there is a desire to do so, we can certainly extend the deadline. I mean, it's not like we're in a hurry with a game that came out 15 years ago. tongue

I am halfway through, and I was planning to finish this weekend.

All right; since I don't see anyone else clamoring for an extension, and it sounds like TheArchduke may be finished already, I'll do my best to get this game done by the deadline, and report on whatever I do manage to complete. We'll see how it goes!
