So I've been batting around this game proposal for months and gotten lots of tentative interest but never enough to fill a game. Hence I've decided to put it up to the public. I know games have been struggling to fill lately, so I'm not super optimistic, but I thought I'd put it out there.
The basic concept came from a few conversations with fellow RB'ers who felt they had "let one get away." Have you played a PB/PBEM and really wished you had another bash at it? Made a bad decision early on and were unable to scramble back? Well, this is the game for you. The "variant" is simple: You may choose any leader/civ combo you have used in a previous Pitboss or PBEM here where you did not win. To clarify, any portion of the victory counts as winning. For example, here's my game history:
PBEM12: Willem of England (eligible)
PB4: Asoka of the Vikings (eligible)
PBEM14: Bismarck of Maya (ineligible, agreed to a draw)
PBEM24: Isabella of China (eligible)
PBEM26: Mehmed of Carthage (eligible)
PBEM29: Mao of Babylon (eligible)
I am well aware that this may create "imbalanced" leader/civ pairings. That's ok! The objective here is to have a fun game where everyone gets a shot at someone they really want to have another shot with. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not going to advertise it as "laid back," if you want to spreadsheet it up - by all means. I do however wish to have a competitive game so if you only have one possibility here because you've won the rest of your games, you're probably not the player we're looking for here. By the same token if you have finished in last place in all of your games, you're also probably not the player we're looking for here. And equally importantly, if you've ever been subject of PYFT campaign, you're also probably not the player we're looking for here.
In terms of other settings, I'd like to go with minimal bans but am open on the subject. I would like to see Corps left on and nukes banned, but beyond that not especially fussed, we can discuss. Either AW or AI Diplo. Let's see what sort of interest there is here before moving forward with the rest of the settings discussion. I'd like 5 players ideally.

Regarding the game, when I saw there'd be a new BTS PBEM I thought: "I'll play it!". Then I see it's a variant where I need to have already lost a BTS PBEM game, which I haven't (due to the simple fact that I never played one).
