Filler, ya da ya. And I am disappoint about my vanilla choice, but it's at least got no Giggles this time:

Okay then! We're here, we're doing fine, and we're hoping for some Isabella success. Channel more 23 and 38, less 24 and 26 then, right?
Commodore (Agg/Imp) as Isabella (Spi/Exp) of Sumer(Agr/Wheel)
Stop the presses, stop everything: Commodore just picked an Agriculture civilization! So let's just assume that we're getting a Fishing/Hunting start here, naturally. I should think that the selection here is pretty obvious. Both Isabella and Sumer are solidly good, with Izzy's Spi meaning she's probably the best non-Fin, non-Sury leader around, and Sumer's wonderfully expensive start techs working well with a situationally nice UU and a good UB. Furthermore, there are synergies here to exploit at the start...Expansive works well with a very early Pottery, which the techs allow us if the map works, and Spiritual's love of the religious line and cheap temples mean Priesthood will be an early tech to unlock those lovely cheap Ziggurats too. After about fifty turns in we're pretty dry on advantages, but hopefully we're ahead by then and on the way to the Factory/all civics unlocked stage of the game where Isabella gets scary again.
As a player, I'm probably the most erratic character in this lineup, for whatever that's worth. If I can keep my head down and just build, build, build, I have a fair shot of winning this. If it's turn 60 and I have a swarm of vultures in galleys preparing to invade...well, you guys get a great show.

So who is playing here? Basically, the upper-intermediates/non-elite vets. Reportage might be a little low, but these are some very solid players, and it'll be a challenge to win here.
MostlyHarmless (Ind/Org) as Otto Von Bismark (Ind/Exp) of the Ottoman Turks(Agr/Wheel)
Otto of the Ottos is good, solid, unflashy, and competent. Which is my impression of MH, for that matter. Bismark is a good wonder-gunner, and if MH wants Stonehenge, he got dibs, I think. Beyond that, there are any number of good paths for him to take, and his civ should give him a strong start no matter what. The Ottomen always seem dull to me, but Jans are generally good, Hammams are said to be good, and the techs are excellent. He's my top vote to win right now, picking blindly.

Interesting you should mention that, because I was reconsidering my letting them pass above. Really, just a terrible UB: Why would I want to spend 100 hammers (normal) for 2 ? If I'm in HR, 50 hammers gets me two archers, if, as here, I'm Spiritual, I can use a 40h temple per happy and get a priest slot for my troubles too. Sure, it sounds nice, but if you're building a ton of Hammams, you're at the killing time/effort point.

Also, I should state that I'm DL'ing Commodore, which means when he fucks up I'm calling him a noob and when does something entertainingly bad I'm going to let him whilst I . If I actually help him it'll be purely accidental.
