2 Rooms and a Boom: Lurker Thread [NO PLAYERS]

This is where all of you not playing kibitz together and tell me how silly I am and how weird this game is. cool

This shall be an adventure. I predict confusion and a lot of death.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

I pity the people in the control room.

If I were a vanilla player I would publicly reveal just to give people something concrete to plan their play around, and to have some concrete interactions to analyze.
I have to run.

I have no fucking clue how to play this game frankly. Seems to be a classic case of being unable to use any information you have since you'd give it to your opponent if you tried to use it.

I would publicly announce:

Quote:I am the COLOR Role.

I am not a Spy, since I have revealed my role.

All those of the COLOR team should immediately co-reveal with me, Color and Role.

If you do not reveal and/or simply reveal your color, you will be considered a Spy or on the other team and kicked out of the room at the earliest opportunity. If you are the Fugitive, with apologies, but this must be done.

The way I see it, those who are on my team have no incentive to withhold information from me. With a way to reveal information, a mass claim is the way to go.

...can you send over fewer than the maximum number of people per round?
More people have been to Berlin than I have.

Well, that is partly why I wanted some form of limited PMs, for information distribution. But you can still make use of information without explicitly stating results, with people that know you share a color, you can say to do things without necessarily fleshing all of it out.

Also, remember even if you talk about stuff in the open, no more than half of the players playing can see it at a time. You could claim people who saw information are lying. Or even state false info at the start, and then after sending away dissidents the next round say the real truth.

Well I don't think that's the optimal strategy for team blue. If you send everyone red to the other room, then red will control the other room and presumably the bomber will be in that room. Then they just sit around for four days (swapping people such that they keep control of the room) and send the bomber to your room on the last day, and you lose.

Blue's strategy should be to keep control of one room and keep both the president and the bomber in that room. And then kick out the bomber on the last day. Or kick out the president, I guess, that works too.

Well actually I'm not sure now. The blue team could send the president over to the red room on the second to last day, and the red team would have to guess whether it's the president or not. Argh.

And Merovech just sent a PM to Azza. Isn't the GM supposed to be doing all reveal PMs??
