Here you go!

Please ignore anything like incorrect units or contact. Those will be fixed. I apologize for the sign in the middle; I was using it to keep track of the starts and forgot to take it off for the screenshot.
As always, fog-reading is a dangerous proposition.

Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

pls tell me you are going to play as TXT_KEY_LEADER_BOUDICA for the entire game!
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

Do I? I rushed the turn today in the morning, I haven't checked on anything yet (probably a mistake, but I didn't have time and didn't want the others to wait).

I misspelt Boudica in your leader name line in the WB file, I guess. Whoops. Good thing that I spelt it right in the leader type section...

I can't remember if we asked Mero to adjust the land-size after more players joined or not, but I guess it is in any case our fault (or at least mine for not taking note if that is what we asked for) but this is fucked up:

That's one capital being 10 tiles, one being 9 tiles away. And that's the actual capital location. If we look at borders we talk about 5 respectively 4 tiles. Till T50 when borders pop again, at that point it becomes 3 tiles and 2 tiles that the capital borders are apart from each other.

Looking back, I think we said 52x26 or 1352 tiles, which amounts to 193 for everyone. Even if it is only 150 that's a 15x10 area. Our caps should not be that close. And even if it isn't as bad in the other directions (it shouldn't if I'm correct on the map size) it still probably means that all 3 of us couldn't win this game starting T0 if the others don't have a similar shitty close start. And even than Krills IMP is giving him an extremely strong advantage. If he hasn't anyone close by like I do we can as well call it right now.

Update short:

3 cities now, should be 4 but I lost a fight last turn against a Barb and so

- can't settle the city
- lost a worker

Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the reason that the fucking barb had 4.4% odds to win that fight. I should not have taken the risk regardless of course because obviously now my city is even more delayed AND I lost a worker instead of just the city being delayed. Oh well, this game definitely is not mine.

And on a general note: That was most likely the last game I signed up for. At least right now I can hardly find any interest in playing the turns of any of the games I'm in, except for PB12 and that has more to do with Noble than the game.
