I was chatting with Brick the other day, and he got me interested in doing a new pitboss game where we team up together. Anyone else interested in joining us?
Game details so far:
1.) Ideally 9-12 players, veteran-leaning but open to all.
2.) Mod: Tides of War v1.4 - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1116...20v1.4.zip
3.) Krill's very generously said he could make the map; game/map settings will be:
3.a) Toroidal wrap
3.b) Monarch difficulty
3.c) Standard speed
3.d) No Huts or Events
3.e) 145-170 land tiles per player, not counting desert/ice/peaks.
3.f) Barbs On
Krill said he'd need to get the map done by the 18th, so we'll freeze the number of players by the 14th. It'd be great to be playing turns by the end of September!
Signup list:
1.) Joey + Brick
2.) The Black Sword
3.) Haram
4.) Dreylin + Grimace
5.) Jowy
6.) Tsargon
7.) Borsche
8.) Scipio
9.) Wetbandit + Fenn

What level of AI diplo; PB27, PB25, or PB28?
Open to partners if someone is looking to help stretch my game...

PB27 rules is good - although if ToW is used then we'd that updated to redline cities, etc.

I'm fine with cities being used in the diplo-window for ai-diplo purposes, as long as no actual city trades occur and as long as cities aren't renamed specifically for diplo purposes. If anyone wants to ban that though, I'm fine with it.

I guess it all comes down to whether your definition of "AI-diplo" is. As I see it there is a spectrum that runs something like:
a) real trades only (which precludes use of cities if city trading is off) (PB27-esque)
b) diplo like an AI (PB28-esque)
c) using the tools available within the diplo screen to design increasingly arcane signalling mechanisms that your own teammates can barely understand, let alone the person on the receiving end (PB25-esque)
My head can't generally cope with c), so even if it's allowed I doubt I'd be indulging...

PB25 also allowed actual city trades and unit gifts, and I'd rather those be banned.

I have a preference for ToW too btw. Even BTS with some restrictions would be fine with me though.
I don't care too much which sort of AI diplo we go for. I guess my preference is 'arcane signalling'.

How's ToW compared to RtR?
