Version:
Beyond the Sword v3.17
Scenario:
Apparently everyone was too busy to take part in the last Epic!
Time to peace out and get back in touch with nature, dude. And a
new cultural challenge? Groovy.
Variant:
You may not chop forest or jungle tiles. What kind of a tree-hugger
are you?!
You
begin the game with Scientific Method and Medicine techs, and you
must adopt Environmentalism civic on the first turn and never switch
away from it. Why? Forest preserves! Due to your free-spirited nature,
forest preserves are the only tile improvement that may be built
on forest and jungle tiles. That includes roads! Do not build them
in the pristine forest landscape. And on an Arboria map script,
expect to see a lot of trees
The
one exception to the above rules involves resources. You are allowed
to build mines, pastures, plantations, or whatever on resource tiles,
as well as roads/rails to connect them. This is not meant to be
a no resources challenge.
Notes:
This will be an unusual cultural game, to say the least. You can
feel free to take the usual measures (cultural slider, corporations,
etc.) but with few cottages and little seafood in play, the usual
Sushi spam isn't likely to be too effective. Be "creative"
and have fun!
Results:
Results will be listed in order of fastest finishes. This game is
mostly intended for fun, but we will rank the results by date.
Closing
Day: Monday, November 3. Reports due by the end of November
4, your local time.
