Scenario:
A new challenge for the new year! The British Empire under Queen
Victoria was known for its policy of splendid isolation,
adopting a stance of diplomatic neutrality while Britannia ruled
the waves. In this game you are tasked with leading the English
to victory with most of the diplomatic tricks off the table.

Variant:
You may not initiate diplomatic contact with any of the AI civilizations,
only respond to deals that they propose. You can accept or reject
their offers as-is, but you may not bargain or make counter-offers.
Since the AI rarely initiates contact with the player, this will
remove most of the diplomatic side of the game.
Declaring
war is perfectly acceptable; by Alt-clicking on another teams
name, you can go to war without ever speaking with them. Just remember
that you cant get peace unless the AI pops up and offers it!

Comments:
Tech trading and resource trading will be much more limited than
usual, so except to do a larger percentage of self-research than
normal. Brokering opportunities should be all but nonexistent. This
will be a tough game, but you can focus on your own internal development
and mostly ignore what other civs are doing. Good luck!
