Scoring
Clarifications:
* Please
make a note of (or take a screenie of) your F9 demographics (population
total) in the years 1AD and 1502AD.
* Pre-1500
victories score as "more population" than any amount of
population for games extending beyond 1502AD, for that category.
* If
your game is won without entering the modern age, you will not be
scored in that category.
* Points
awarded for population and modern age are scored regardless of victory
or loss. Those who lose/retire before the population benchmark dates
will not be scored in those categories.
* A
city that is in food deficit is NOT COUNTED for largest city scoring.
Record your largest city that is at break even or surplus food at
the end of your game. (Its panel will show gray or green, rather
than red, from the main map view). Hint: You can use F1 and sort
by city size to find your largest cities quickly.
* Saving
the game at the benchmark dates/events would be a good idea -- in
case you are asked to verify your claims. (You probably won't be
asked for proof, but you never know. We do reserve the right to
ask.)
* Results
will be separated by category for victory condition points, while
all scored players will be lumped to measure the population goals.
* In
case of ties, with exact same-year finishes, all tied players score
as if they were not tied (e.g.: three-way tie for second, scoring
would be 1st, 2nd-2nd-2nd, 5th).
What
to Report: No scorecard for this event. Just record your finish
date, type of win/loss, population counts on the two benchmark dates,
largest fully fed city, and date of modern era entry. You may want
to copy the scoring list to your local machine. You are also welcome
to play without scoring, if you prefer.
Closing
Day: Monday, June 12. Reports due by the end of June 13, your
local time.
