PTW 1.14f Scenario
Concept: Ancient War challenge. And I do mean ancient war. These Iroquois
are on the warpath. Faces painted, quivers full of arrows. Your goal is to conquer
as much of the world as you can before time runs out. VARIANT
RULES: If you make peace, then you are required to honor the deal for twenty
turns, even if tech or cities were not received as tribute. Effectively, all peace
deals in this scenario must be observed for twenty turns. GAME
LENGTH: Less than 200 turns! How much less, you'll have to guess. You'll get
an indication of when time is running out if you watch the clock. In 2000AD, the
game is over. RULES
CHANGES: Your civ has also been modified. You will start as expansionist and
militaristic, with applicable techs. You will have limited access to units. You
may build settlers, workers, scouts, of course, but militarily you are limited
to warriors, archers, spearmen, chariots, galleys, catapults and longbows. That's
it. (If you didn't see it listed there, you can't build it). Note, the AI's are
under no such restrictions.
Scoring:
1
pts - EACH great leader that your civilization produces. 2 pts - EACH enemy
city on your starting landmass that you capture or raze. 3 pts - EACH enemy
city on any other landmass that you capture or raze. 20 pts - EACH enemy civilization
that you eliminate from the game. (You must have conquered at least one of their
cities -- no score if they are wiped out wholly by others). 5
pts - BONUS - found a city on a different landmass than where you start, then
protect it until the game has ended. 10 pts - BONUS - play the entire game
without using forced labor. 15 pts - BONUS - bring every single tile on your
starting landmass under your cultural control.
This game should be playable for most players in one or two evenings. Three weeks
are allowed to let players fit the game into their schedules and increase participation.
We're holding off starting larger games until the new patch. This one is short
and intended as a mere snack between meals.
Closing
Day: Monday, February 10. Reports due on Feb 10 or 11.
