Looks like novice will hold. Nic's second chariot is too damaged to be assured of further kills on the defending warrior(s).

RE: Seven's thread discussion on map: It rolled like you see it almost exactly resourcewise. I made a few edits (namely moving out the stone and marble; they were very close to each player's start. I noted that there was a surprisingly low amount of food, and the reason that I kept it like this is that I felt it would provide a good challenge for the experienced player roster present. Do you try and settle to maximize the little food available, or do you settle for strategic things like stone and copper to gain advantages there? I like the results that it has brought so far.

Speaking of Seven, I like how everybody else is complaining that everybody else attacks everybody but Seven (if that makes sense). Then when they have some units to harass with? They use them on someone not named Seven.

Well Serdoa hasn't harassed/attacked anyone. Nic has attacked two people and attacking Serdoa made no sense to me. AT took over and doesn't know what is going on so he is just doing whatever, I don't blame him for that.

Of course, his reply to this is that the relative value is accounted for in the values used in his method already, but I don't think it really is. It does take into account EXP/CRE cramming a city down FIN/SPI's throat for example, and completely screwing up the latter's game.
That's true. Civ has a lot of races, so early gains don't just compound, they also help you win those races.
This map is pretty big though. City-spot races happen in the midgame, not the early game. So I don't think I evaluated them too far off in this case.

I noticed one tile where Serdoa had a forest and I had a city ruin. That city ruin stopped me from getting a forest growth there!

City ruins: clearly the solution to preventing jungle growths.

Or, places to prevent any growths, forest or jungle, to ensure a 100% balanced setup, with no stray forests leading to an extra chop and an unbalanced start :P
