Replacement Wanted for PB 37

Wow, I must have missed something -- I know you posted spoilers to the tech thread (I don't know what they were), but that sort of mistake happens.

I'm afraid I can't read any spoilers from you, but I just don't see anything warranting thinking you've truly offended others (as in, they'd be upset out-of-game).

Unless lurkers who can read your spoilers actually agree, I'd encourage you to keep playing if there are no other limitations.

I intentionally posted them to the tech thread, but spoilered with a warning for everyone but the involved player, because I wanted both him and non-players to read how I felt about this game right now. What's happening in-game is one thing, but I believed, probably wrongly and from flimsy evidence, that there was actual bad blood out-of-game, and reacted impulsively to get rid of it, which will have had the opposite effect, which is blatantly obvious in hindsight.

Absolutely nobody has asked me to retire from the game; this is my own decision. I appreciate your kindness, but I stand by all that I've said.

The spoiler in this thread describes the in-game situation and what I've done in this game that isn't drama. Don't read it.

Dude... dude! Nobody hates you! Its just a game. And at any rate, I don't think anything is ruined right now and I couldn't believe that anyone would want you to leave over this. Its a long game, mistakes happen. What you did cant possibly be judged any more disruptive than accidentally clicking on someone's thread, which usually happens at least a few times every single pitboss we have. In fact, a player leaving so deep into the game would fuck up the game far, far more than just posting a rant in the tech thread that most other players probably didn't even see.

Try just taking a break for a day or so... maybe let Bacchus handle the turns for a few days?

Thanks Joey, but I think I shouldn't play on for other reasons as well. Except for one: I should have decided to leave long before losing cities to Krill, because I feel like I'd be wussing out by leaving now, and I also feel I owe him to try and wreck our stuff as he has announced. wink

Therefore I want to remain for as long as that's going to go on, but absolutely no longer in any case. It's been fun, but I've invested too much in this game and the rant just goes to show that; I should have stepped back and shrugged it off, rather than taking it personally.

Still requesting a sub.

I can't play turns unfortunately, these couple days I cant even login. Coeurva does need a break (and some sleep). I suggest putting the game on hiatus for two days.

I don't hate you, and I hope that in the future you find the time to play another game here. It can be hard adjusting ones mindset to long term cton games though.

If it's messing with RL though, it's definitely more important to dealc I have that. Good luck smile

Just wanted to point this out specifically, since it's possible this was a big part of the miscommunication: When Krill posted that he was "In a trololol state of wrecking everything I can" I'm sure he wasn't referring to your civ (I have neither information nor an opinion on whether or not he wants to wreck your civ, and couldn't share it if I did, but either way, that wasn't what he was talking about). My reading of that line was, "So, shortly after needing a pause for a couple days due to travel and exhaustion, I've managed to mess things up again with a misclick that'll probably need a reload. If you want to accuse me of trolling everybody and wrecking the turn pace and everything, go ahead; in fact, I'll say it first!"

It looks like things escalated quickly here. Couerva, if you were to change your mind after getting some sleep you`re welcome back, of course.

As always, real life comes first. If the turns are becoming too much of a burden it`s probably better to hand over the helmet to someone else.
