Those guys really want to play with BNW tools.
Yeah, I'm not happy about my past behaviour either.

That won't be that easy. As the General has to end his turn right on the gold. For which he needs either a war declaration or open borders (IIRC). And it would give pindi a chance to kill him. I rather build the citadel right there were the CB is. Steal the gold and sheep from pindi hurting his economy (loss of lux and the income) and kill him off whenever he is backwards enough.
Yes, that is Azza's usual greedy tendencies again.

Azza could hide his intentions like this. Don't buy the critical tile 1E of the gold until the last instant. Start with the GG 2N of the gold. Declare war and move the GG to the gold, protected by a melee unit, and with ranged support. It'll look like any normal invasion led by a GG, and pindicator probably wouldn't have any melee unit in range to kill the GG. Then next turn, buy the critical tile and plant the citadel to blindside pindicator.
I would think golden ages are not worth delaying expansion (in MP) and Ichibod should have built more settlers.
Was the map constructed to have two KOTHs at once? West is less likely to wage a full scale war because of terrain, but East... damn.

Well, Azza just lost a city. The defender gets so many advantages by the time you can take out just one real city you can take them all.
I captured Markarth, by the way, and I killed 5 CBs and a pikeman without losing a single unit. I actually changed my builds to non-military stuff now, because I don't think I need any more units (maintanance is starting to be felt). I was afraid that my non-ranged units wouldn't be able to capture Azza's cities without heavy losses, but that proved to be incorrect. --Ichabod
