Zulu: Impi: Zulu unique unit: spearman replacement: Strength 4, 2 movement points. +100% against mounted units, -40% against archers. Cost 35 hammers, requires Hunting, copper or iron.
So they lost Mobility and get a big penalty vs archers. Which is good I guess since we're Protective, yay? Of course he's also Aggressive...

Impis can be used very efficiently still I think, especially if you can use terrain bonuses. Not so much for attacking a city that is guarded by an archer, but for harassing. With the 2 moves you can easily fork enough tiles to make it really hard to move your workers around. And the only other units with that mobility are mounted and can't be used sensibly against them. Of course Axes still wipe the floor with them, if you can catch them.
Anyhow, right now it seems we have Borsche, CH and Donovan as neighbours. That's certainly better than having Plako or Krill.

Assuming that's the extent of the nearby neighbors, about as good as you could hope really. No known grudgers as far as I can tell.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Whelp we definitively stole Borsche's hut while he watched, he might be a bit peeved about that.
So if we plant 2S of the eastern pig we could do a Moai city 1N of the pig, which with 15 water tiles is probably the best Moai location we can find on this map. But it'll be very exposed to attack from Borsche's Vikings. Also, Krill nerfed them and they no longer get Navigation 1 on their ships, just 25% faster production. If we're not planning to build that Moai city then I think we're better off planting 1S of the pig which covers all the land tiles on that peninsula, and then we use the corn for a different city. If we plant the triple food city we can build the NE there instead of the far northeast as I tentatively suggested, since I'm not sure we can plant that northeast city and it would be on the border even if so. The triple food city is also nice in that it's a very strong location and can be used as a 3-5th city location as part of a quick land grab.
Also we should pay the fucking attention and notice that both Hinduism and Buddhism have been founded. ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) Way before we popped Mysticism even! I had thought that if nobody researched religion out of the gate then it would be untouched until second cities started going down. Turns out it was the former.

Well I assumed Serdoa was checking it when he was talking about it. Bad assumption!

I didn't even think about checking. I was somehow still in the SP-mindset of "it will be shown when I log in / start the turn if a new religion is founded.
Oh well, what are we doing now with the second city? Monuments are lame...

I really don't think it's a big problem to build a monument. Gaspar and I played an entire game (29) trying to avoid building monuments and ended up with a very shitty game. Trust me, it's not that bad. ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) As long as your city is decent before the monument and you can build it quickly, it means it's not a bad city spot. I'm still thinking the plains hill north of the wheat is the best spot right now.

We should get graphs on CH in 3-4 turns, I had previously set our EP to spend on him since we met him first. Then I think we should keep spending 1/turn to maintain graphs and then put the rest on Donovan. Early impressions say Borsche will likely not be a threat.

I think we can stop worrying or arguing about the second city now.
In before Serdoa says we should plant NE of the horse...
