T-Hawk, can you create us some forums? We'll need 1 for the demogame, and do we need a subforum for each team yet or should we hold off on that to let teams come up with their names? I'm not sure how easy / hard it is for T-Hawk to rename forums; if it's easy let's make the subforums for teams too.

I've updated the roster on the first post; please let me know if I missed anybody's signup or anybody's team acceptance. There are a good number of people without a team, so let's find them a home!

I'd be very happy with a Commodore-made map. Did Mist volunteer to admin things or am I imagining that? If so, having those two facilitate the setup stages would be especially nice.

I think the rough outline of moving forward on the game should go in steps that look roughly like this:

1) Agree on subforum plan - open/closed? After that, create subforums for each team, giving a member or two on each team moderator ability for their team's subforum only (this is possible right?). It's hard to do official votes on things until you can consolidate a vote to one vote/team, and we can't do that until we have somewhere for teams to discuss their own preferences. I'd suggest we get a "RB Demogame" subforum on the high-level which then contains 5 sub-forums, similar to how PB6 was set up.

1b) Continue to recruit for more signups while this is all going on.

2) Vote on settings as necessary. We don't need 45 polls or anything insane, but I suspect there will be some votes for things like double-move rule ratification, spies, corporations, etc. We can leave a lot of things up to the mapmaker.

3) Once all settings are locked and sealed, leader picking can happen

4) Game on?

As for voting on subforums, since this is a demogame: let's have 1 vote per team

Can I get a list of team names for the forums? We'd want an organized order as well, meaning by time zone. Renaming and reordering is easy but we should do something sensible.

Any access restrictions, or just make them fully open now and figure it out later?

Well, if it's team captains voting on that bit, eh, I'd need to think, but I think someone suggested that global lurkers can sign up to be global lurkers in a public thread, then be allowed in to watch the game. Not that that actually is congruent with the point of closed fora.

Realms Beyond Democracy Game 1, and just label the fora as Team 1, Team 2, Team 3 etc, if it is easy to change the names afterwards. Team number has nothing to do with play order.
