I was considering that one. Given what happened on the developer side it is a dead property, but I saw some positive reviews. Has anyone here actually played it? Is it worth the time?

Has anyone here actually played it? Is it worth the time? If you beat dark souls with systematically reading guides this game is pointless. It's too easy. Watch this player beat the crap out of the final bosses while severely handicapping himself. (no reckoning, no potions, low level--just high enough so enemies aren't "red" and the game becomes unplayable) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPMLsvMT7Xo Oh, if the games loan was paid off to Rhode Island it would have been 1% of the state's budget. ![]() By the way the 38 Studios division who made this was 'Big Huge Games'. They tried to make other studio but it quickly failed. I've noticed an amusing pattern: Brain, Trip and Soren's careers went down after leaving Firaxis. I wonder if the next lead will learn for Civ7... (January 31st, 2014, 21:08)haphazard1 Wrote: I was considering that one. I remember playing the demo for a few hours once it was released and I decided to wait for a discount. I think it is definitely worth the money. The metascore is 81 and that's similar what I would rate it after a first impression. The problem MJW mentioned is due to the fact that there are many optional quests available and if you do each and every one it seems to be possible to get ahead on the levelling curve. So if you are looking for a hardcore experience similar to Dark Souls this is not the game to play, but it offers a lot of casual fun for the current sales price and has an interesting combat system. The player handicapped himself by having as low level as possible. For one boss fight he had to grind so the enemies were not "red" and kick your butt.
I don't care about the youtube video you posted.
Just one example: There are tons of videos in which people play through Darks Souls on SL1 and limit themselves on equipment as well, yet no average player would claim the game is too easy. The fact that someone beat it at SL1@ng+7 doesn't change the fact that enemies can still 1hko you. The player in that video is playing normally and takes an awful lot of hits. And says that hard mode is not hard. And he's not min-maxing, just using the gear that drops off.
Just saw this.
EU3, SoTS, HoI3, EU:Rome Gold, Kings Crusade & Magika all for €4.39 (£2.99 Sterling). And it's got 17 days left on it too.
Travelling on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.
I contributed to the bundle but it wasn't for the Civ games.
