Machinery in. 6 turns to Guilds (will try to make it 5). Building Barracks and Stables all over the place

Well well well. Sian offered us ivory for 6 gpt. I spent some time thinking, but decided to sign it. If he spends less time watching our power rating rise, it will be worth it. I don't expect him to get more than 100g out of this deal

What concerns me most is that he didn't chop the jungle between us, so 'phracts will be slowed down. Very inconsiderate of him. I have a Chariot scouting his land, maybe there is a passage.

NS7 offered some luxury resource for another (dyes for spices I believe). I accepted, don't see why not. Turned on research, Guilds should be done in 2 turns. Then 10 turns of intense whipping, and attack. Hope it's not too late, but so far the scouting chariot only sees cities defended by single Axes/Spears

Whoop! Start your horse archers, try to get them to all finish the turn Guilds comes in. Make sure Iron is hooked up, so they'll upgrade in the queue to Knights (aka Cataphracts).

Of course! I don't like that we will start the attack so late; it's currently T91, so it will start after T100... but don't think we could do better

Our scout found a lot of units on Luddicator's border with Fierce... I wonder if they're gearing up for war too

NS7 offered horses (apparently their only source) for free. I stared at the screen for some time before eventually refusing. I can't figure out what their game is, but we don't need an extra horse resource, and I don't want to be too much indebted to them. I plan to negotiate a peace treaty with them soon, i.e. demand 1 gold from them. I don't want them thinking "we're providing them with so many resources for free, and they still have the courage to demand something from us". Of course they're very experienced players, they will surely know what a 1g demand means. But still, no reason to accept gifts we don't need

Guilds in at EOT, iron connected this turn, let's build 'phracts!

Demanding gold from players during peace does not create an in-game binding peace treaty, see Lewwyn and mackoti in 18.

I think they want us to kill Sian.

Can you post a screen of the battlefield?

Ah damn, didn't know it doesn't work in MP. Well, then we will have to go to war without safe backyard

I guess we will oblige lol

There's no real battlefield yet, but I'll definitely post screenshots next turn

So, military build-up has started, and this is what we can do

As I mentioned before, there is a lot of jungle between us and Sian, and it makes logistics quite difficult. The best option I think is to enter his borders onto the red circle. If he doesn't build up his defences, our 'phracts should be able to capture Mai Hime on the 2nd turn of the war, even though they will have to attack across the river. If he manages to garrison the city, we can move onto the yellow circle, also bringing 4 Longbows on Galleys to protect the 'phracts. They will probably take some collateral, but won't die: Longbows on a jungled hill are almost unkillable. From there, we threaten 2 cities, and should be able to capture both. Then we will assess the situation, the best option I think is to move onto the magenta circle, again threatening 2 cities, the capital and the Moai city. As you can see, the capital is defended by a single Warrior at the moment, and almost all his cities have the same defence

The other option to start the war is to put 6-8 'phracts on galleys and move them onto the ivory across the lake from Angora. This allows to avoid attacking across the river, but we have to build Galleys in addition to 'phracts, and the number of 'phracts we can bring in is limited. We should consider using both routes, say move 6 'phracts onto the ivory and 10 or so onto the red circle. The main problem with this route is that I'm 99% sure he has visibility on Angora, so he will have an early warning when we assemble 'phracts there

Meanwhile in other news
