This Time for Sure: Mardoc reprises the Lanun

We're now size 5, workboat completes in 1 more turn, could grow to size 6 in 3. Do we start the worker right now, anyway? Or grow first?

I think the right answer is still the worker. Growing onto an unimproved tile won't really buy us that much, not compared to an earlier corn farm or Dyes plantation.

Yeah, worker/worker next will be our strongest play. We should be able to spit them out at about 4 turns each. We'll have a bit of downtime while we get to mining, but a couple of roads towards our next city would be handy. wink

Again, not much newsworthy. More beautiful land revealed, workboat finished EOT, leading the demos...same old same old wink.

Aside - are the pictures showing up? They're showing up intermittantly for me in the preview; I'm wondering if there's a problem with Dropbox.

Pics are showing up for me.

Damn, but that is some seriously tasty looking land.

and that "Cove" sign on the landlocked lake is a bit optimistic I think. smile

AFAIK, WBs can only be built on oceans and lakes with a resource so we won't be able to build a WB to Cove that lake.

(I'd be very happy to be wrong on this one....who wants to test it? )

Unless we plant on the hill 1 SW of it, of course smile. Not that we should be choosing city sites based only on their potential for lake-coves shhh

Hah. I'd missed that.

And the city does fit with our current dot-spam map. wink

And a 6/2/7 tile (with Lighhouse/Sea Haven) is awfully nice. Plus the city has Pigs and enough hills/lumbermillable Forests to get up to 20h/turn easily....I like it.

Eventually. lol

Believe it or not, I've a turn to play already!

Workboat completed, we're started on a worker. He should be done in 4 turns (because the lake cove will improve just in time).

And...because we've swapped to a commerce configuration at the moment, we're no longer #1 in *every* category. But...I think that GNP lead might make up for it. lol. And of course things will improve further as the coves mature.

And number 2 for the day - nearly just 'press enter', although I'm afraid I have to report the demise of our northern scout.

(killed at EOT when the barbs move). (that's a bonus I never knew about - but we'll know for sure if someone tries Hidden Nationality shenanigans)

Our southern scout found solid peaks - I wonder if they continue N/S or if it's a fluke?
