What are our expectations for turn pace this game? It seems to be slow already, and that's while turns take a minute to play. I worry that we'll run into activity problems before too long, especially with Christmas coming up before the game has really gotten underway. BaII mentioned that he'll be gone all Christmas, anyone else going away without Civ access?

We're getting a turn a day. Whilst more would be nice, particularly with these early turns, as long as we stick to that there is no problem with turn pace in my opinion. It's also likely the turnpace will pick up after the holiday period because currently everyones' days tend to be less predictable. I may be away for a couple of days around new year (not sure yet) but I'm ok over christmas itself.

I've played with most of these guys and the turn pace in past games with them has been great. We might have some delays during Christmas and New Year, but that's just how it is with every big game.

Btw Zanth/Furungy/Catwalk, are you all aware of our honour rules on double moving?

I get the gist of it, but feel free to spell them out for me. Basically, never double move in any kind of competitive situation (war and settling, typically) and try not to be a jerk if you can in any way help it?

I know, that I should avoid DOW against opponents who are at war or may be at war around some turns.

Settling of course is another case to avoid DOW.

If in doubt, ask the lurkers.

DOW means declaration of war, not double moving. But apart from that, yeah smile

I paused it as a precautionary measure. Only 2metra to play, approx 2 hours on the clock.
