Yeah, I'm probably just being paranoid.
Chalk it up to late night and not very sober posting.

Fun facts:
If you google the phrase "like a hot wind" this thread is the second link that shows up. If you google "General Martok" this thread isn't on the first page. If you google "like a hot wind + General Martok" this thread is the first link. *note to self: Mention General Martok at every possible opportunity* General Martok, slayer of Orthus, Torturer of Prisoners and Slayer of Fawns.
GLT finished a Lightbringer this turn which I upgraded to a Thane:
Units don't have to be in a city in order to upgrade in FFH. They simply need to be in your cultural borders and within 2 tiles of a city that has the appropriate building (in this case a Temple of Klimorph). The Thane will move into Golden Shack next turn and I'll get visibility into Mr. Yellow's city on turn 80 Tiles with red Xs are tiles Mr. Yellow currently has visibility on. Tiles with blue slashes are the tiles he will be able to see once his borders pop. He's been working the plains forest 1 W of his city since he founded it on turn 68. If he went monument as his first build it completed EOT 77. His borders will pop at the end of his T80 and he can finish a warrior EOT 81 (assuming he works the plains forest T81). Depending on what I see on T80 I'll either hit him with General Martok, Lightsocket and two 5/5 xp Redshirts on turn 81 or move the strikeforce over to the wheat tile and upgrade them to Swordsmen t81 and strike on turn 85. Actually, I think it's anywhere inside the city's cultural radius. Doesn't have to be the BFC.
Civilization IV: 21 (Bismarck of Mali), 29 (Mao Zedong of Babylon), 38 (Isabella of China), 45 (Victoria of Sumeria), PB12 (Darius of Sumeria), 56 (Hammurabi of Sumeria), PB16 (Bismarck of Mali), 78 (Augustus of Byzantium), PB56 (Willem of China)
Hearthstone: ArenaDrafts Profile No longer playing Hearthstone. NobleHelium Wrote:Actually, I think it's anywhere inside the city's cultural radius. Square Leg Wrote:Hey Thoth, Hi Square Leg, The save hasn't arrived yet and I'm going to be heading out shortly so... Cities and workers: Golden Shanty: Has just grown to size 2. Work the sheep and the copper. There is a worker building a farm just south, it shouldn't need any orders this turn. Golden Hovel: Keep on building the settler. There are two workers nearby. Move the northern one to the forested grass hill, the one to the south should put 1 turn into a chop and then have his orders canceled. Golden Lean To: Continue with the Training Yard. Please keep the current tile configuration. There is a worker on the sheep tile. Move it to the plains hill to the southwest of the sheep tile. Golden Shack: Just grew to size 5 this turn. There are two workers on the North East flood plain. Move 1 of them to the grass hill to the west of GS and mine (there is already a worker on the hill with 1 turn into the mine). Once the mine is finished swap the citizen working the unimproved gold hill to the grass hill mine. The other worker to the east of Golden Shack should move to the gold plains hill. To the south of Golden Lean To there is a worker on the floodplain cottage. Move it to the floodplain tile 2 S and begin constructing a road. Unit moves: Leave Lightsocket in Golden Shanty Redshirt and General Martok move from GS to the grass hill to 1 w of GS. The 2xp warrior in GS should move to the plains cow tile There is another 5/5 xp Redshirt on the desert hill to the south of GS. He should move to the plains cow tile. The Thane that is currently standing on Golden Lean To's Wheat tile should move into Golden Shack (and remain there. Please do not move him onto the desert hill) In the far West Mr Yellow has a scout sniffing around. I have a warrior ("Fogbuster") on the plains hill marked "city" there is another warrior to the west. I'll leave the exact moves up to your discretion. If possible position the unnamed warrior so that it can move onto Bradeline's well next turn. There is a bronze warrior in the forest south of Golden Shanty. It should move back towards Golden Shanty. I would rather Mr. Yellow doesn't see any of my bronze equipped units yet. So far he's only seen one (Lightsocket) and he's seen several non-bronze warriors. If he thinks I still don't have bronze yet I would like him to keep thinking that for as long as possible. Tech: Warfare finished EOT 78, I queued up Archery next. Please don't change from Archery. Diplo: I doubt Mr. Yellow will offer Open Borders or a Map Trade but if he does please decline the offer. I think that covers everything. Thanks.
no problem - I am doing a run to the airport tonight so might not get to it until tomorrow morning.
I'll follow every instruction! Square Leg Wrote:no problem - I am doing a run to the airport tonight so might not get to it until tomorrow morning. Thanks mate, but it turns out to be unnecessary as my plans changed and I'm home early. (the save otoh, is a bit late ) I'll play turn 79 as normal.
Turn 79 report:
See post #276 Turn 80 I'll be able to peer into Mr. Yellow's marble city and see what I'm up against.
I got my first glimpse into Mr. Yellow's border city....
(note the lack of border pop on his marble city....the Thane is currently on the gold/ph tile. No visibility for you Mr. Yellow! ) No bronze promotion (yet) and no road link...... Interesting.... So no more God King for you Mr. Yellow. 1 turn warriors are still possible (need 16 h with Nationalism/Apprenticeship) and come out with +1 promotion. Maybe he isn't going for the Giants after all. Not that it makes much difference. Once I invade he'd be forced to give up any Giant plans anyway in order to keep his capital. In the West I faced a choice: Pop the Well? or No?. Mr. Yellow could have popped it a couple of times over the last couple of turns. It would have meant instant war, but he could have done it. So why do it now? If I don't pop the well, he'll do it as soon as I DOW him in the east. If I do the nasties might bag his scout instead of one of my units. 45% good/55% big nasty. At this point I'm going to roll them dice...... See post #1. Green Blob just got a bit better looking. |
