Yeah, I meant to propose it for both civics and religion switches: either friendly only or completely banned. Good catch .

Come on - full diplo can be fun And you guys used to do it at RB, too . I know, it was a couple years ago - looks like we are just couple years behind you in terms of civ development . But as I said, revisiting wild youth could be fun
We tried revisiting diplo last year. It reminded me why I never play games with it on well enough to know that I'm never playing a diplo game again, and I reckon a fair few posters feel the same way.
So...good luck finding players, I suppose, but I'll enjoy lurking the game all the same.

Something that wasn't readily apparent from the OP: if this two player team controlling 1 civ between them, or playing 2 civs that are on the same team?

I would like to say a huge thank you to plako for being so helpful with this game! Also, thank you very much to Maga_R for doing such a great job in making it a reality!
I hope all teams will use spoiler-threads, in the standard RB fashion, with the gentleman's honor of not reading other team's spoiler threads of course. Also, if full diplo is going to be an issue with getting experienced players on board, we should probably consider dropping it (even though I must admit I really enjoy diplo, so I will be a bit sad if that is neccessary). The most important thing is that everyone should have fun, learn something, and all that standard yatta yatta

Initially the idea was 2 civs per team. But by the looks of it, we may have too many players for that idea, at least if we want to get more experienced players on board?

It is 2 players controlling 1 civ, Krill. Hence (hopefully) double-fun .

If we are going for 1 civ per 2 players, with full diplo, it would be a good idea to make sure that the pairs of players have 1 player who doesn't have anything against diplo. That way the players who dislike full diplo have someone who can do the "crappy job" for their team, without having to get too involved in that part of it!
