[SPOILERS] Serdoas and Nobles Thread with a little bit of Gaspar sprinkled in

Thanks TBS. That makes it likely for both HAK and plako I guess. Hm... we have diplomacy with plako. So the message for the GP should state in game "in xxx civilization" not "in an unknown civilization" right? If that's correct it is still HAK who got the GE.
As for mackoti joining taotao: Great, fiercer competition. I wonder how long before mack is playing the game and taotao is watching from the sidelines though. Apart from that I have considered taotao the most threat of all our neighbours already, mack helping him just strengthens that believe. We should get an idea of how he planted and if he is more likely to attack us or Donovan when running out of space. It will probably be Donovan, just because he is lagging behind. If so, we should be ready to get our part of his lands.
Why is Mack posting as reddog?

The last game he played, PB22, he felt that (and turned out to be right about) people discriminating against him because of his reputation. Commodore and Gawdzak refused to give him open borders because they "don't want Mack to run away with the game!" even though his situation in-game was actually not very good. In addition, he joined here not as the main turn player and didn't want people to discriminate against taotao because of him.
But, of course, discriminate all you want!
So you mean it's Sulla's fault?

HAK used the GE on the Pyramids as I had guessed. Currency will take 8t of burn. We could also burn Sailing and Calendar instead, although expenses seem to be going up some now so Currency feels nice at least. I don't know for sure.

Whelp, slight problem here maybe...
Yes, I think we still stack the settler with the two archers on that tile. Along with the current worker which starts a road. Trailing worker goes 1SE and chops 1t as the sign says. The only problem is next turn when we'll have worker(s) in the forest and the settler on the hill. We could just risk it and cover each with one archer, we'd still get odds on the chariot in both tiles. Chariot would get 22.5% chance to win in either case, and 7.8% chance to retreat. Not great odds for us but he won't necessarily attack. We could also run the leading worker onto the hill with the settler and not bring up the trailing worker yet, which will delay the pasture by 2-3t. It also delays the monument by 3-4t. I guess that might be the better play because it's much safer and doesn't cost that much. Let's just do our moves this turn and see what happens. Just to be sure, this turn is: 1) Road and cancel with leading worker. 2) Trailing worker goes 1SE and chops and cancels. 3) Trailing archer moves NW to join the leading archer. 4) Settler moves N-NW-NW-NW to join the archers and leading worker. I don't think moving the warrior out of Pagle is worth it (2 unhappy) if you're thinking about that.

Yeah, since his scout saw us I expected something like that. I expect a few axes to follow. Not sure if this is taotaos standard playstyle but it is mackotis. We'll need a few more archers, a chariot and 2 axes to feel save and be able to attack units he parks on tiles we want to work I think. Not necessarily right now but I'd want to get at least another archer, better 2, up there.

Actually Commodore is the one who built the Pyramids. Top5 Cities shows "Beasts" as the owning civ. I really can't see how he could have gotten the GE so I guess he slow-built / chopped it. And he has still our city-count. |
