It doesn't seem like suggestion was banning AP, just diplo victory. In general all the AP resolutions are dull in MP

What I meant was that I think a diplo victory is extremely unlikely in an MP game with 8 teams anyway - is that correct?
Not AP, that's very easy to win with, and it only takes one player to throw the game.

In general all the AP resolutions are dull in MP Just to clarify, what do you mean by "dull" here? That word means boring or lacking interest/brightness/sharpness, but at least one of the resolutions --- the diplomatic victory --- isn't dull at all, since it actually leads to a victory when planned appropriately. Sorry for getting a little pedantic here. I just wanted to throw out my thought over here to see what others were thinking; I'd be okay if they were in, it's just another thing we'd have to plan around in the (admittedly unlikely) event that someone gets in position to leverage it well.
Do you want to lose a city because of AP resolution or be forced to peace when attacking? Is there any resolution you would want to have in MP game? I can't think of any. Hammer bonus is ok and sufficient reason to build it. One can certainly live with the resolutions, but they don't feel fun for me.
If you have spread the ap religion to one city from each team, and you have enough votes to declare yourself the winner, then it only takes one other person voting with you to end the game.
Hm ... on second thought, I wouldn't mind just banning all resolutions. But with the hammer bonus at least ... then I can follow Lord Parkin's religion strategy.

Yeah, but having enough vote to win religious victory AND spreading AP religion to every city is not that easy as it may sound, imho |
