The PB24 map is the PB1 map. It was originally designed for 11 players, and about 250 tiles per player, but Seven changed the PB24 map for 12 players.
TBH I want to play a game on teh PB24 map. That maps too good to not have a game played on it.

I am interested in this (I am quite a bad player for RB standards, though).

Hi GreyWolf - I see you've played a couple of FFH games and done alright - have you got any MP BTS experience for lurkers to judge you on? If not I guess someone like Mardoc, Qgqqqqqq or TBS might be able to give a rough estimate of how your skills might transfer. How good you are isn't an issue though, the lurkers just need to know how to handicap you.
On the map - I'd love to give that one a try at some point, but it sounds a bit big for our roster (also after PB18 I'm hoping not to have to look after more than 20 cities at any point this game...)
Completed: RB Demogame - Gillette, PBEM46, Pitboss 13, Pitboss 18, Pitboss 30, Pitboss 31, Pitboss 38, Pitboss 42, Pitboss 46, Pitboss 52 (Pindicator's game), Pitboss 57

There's an easy way to not have to manage so many cities. Neighbors can become neighbors, not food.

Sure, I'll jump in the lurker thread once it's time. I'm a bit surprised to see this is looking viable
You should probably decide which version of handicapping you want: terrain, leader/civ, neighbors, difficulty setting, other? It'd be nice to know what tools we can use for this.

Mmmmm neighbours.... I'm hungry.
Thanks Mardoc, I'll do a settings vote post once we get one more signup (if we don't get that signup then I'll force CH or Miguelito to play.)
Commodore has kindly offered to roll us a massively unbalanced map btw.

I would like to participate in the lurker side, rather than player side, because I have a political science degree and rank aggregation is more fun than you would think at first.

Mechanics knowledge is the only relevance from SP play. Strategy is more important.

Well, having a decent grasp of mechanics is very important too. Having a good strategy won't be worth much if you can't execute it. But, if you can conceivably win on BTS Deity, your mechanics knowledge should be fairly solid, I think!
