I'd be careful about naming the archer after 'sheed. He might get a double technical and get DQ'd before he can kill that warrior.

Also, the server has issues and posting has been taking a while. You don't need to hit post again, in fact you can probably refresh after about three seconds and your post will be there, even if the spinner was still showing previously.
Thank you, and done (not the entire thread, but the last pages was pretty enlightening).
I've noticed the server issues. I thought it was tapatalk, but not so I realise now.

Don't take Noble's last post there too seriously, he's got a crazy personal grudge thing going on and I'm not going any further with that discussion. Here's a more simple summary to your question of why pindicator and I are suddenly being more dramatic than middle school lunch time:
* Commodore is a good player
* Commodore is an extremely aggressive player
* Commodore's tendency towards aggression can be questionable in whether or not it's the right decision
* Starting next to Commodore often means you will be the target of his early aggression, whether it makes sense or not.
* In PB5, Commodore started nearish to Pindicator, rushed him for reasons I'll never understand
* In PB8, Pindicator and I teamed together, were target of a Commodore rush that ruined our game. We decided to team together almost entirely because we felt we didn't get a fair shake in PB8 because of him.
* Now in the follow-up to PB8, we've started next to Commodore AGAIN, and he apparently decided to WARRIOR RUSH us prior to meeting us or something insane like that. Either that or his scout/warrior magically showed up on our borders, the warrior on the corner to our capital, all at the same time. Yeah no that didn't happen, he's known we were there for a little while, and he decided to throw the first stone with a warrior. Oooookay.
So that's why we're doing the woe-is-me routine here. We know for the second straight game our chance of winning is 0 immediately, and that's disappointing because with this field, we are one of the teams that is good enough to challenge for the win, but it seems Commodore is already committed to a stupid grudge match. Whee.
Rasheed played for both Portland and Detroit, and he was a for-real crazy person, so I think that's a flawless name.

Pindicator - I say we have two choices.
1) Leave our capital empty. Let him walk in, that way we can be done with this game and save ourselves the time.
2) Go all-in on killing him. Commodore him. Forget winning, but just win the duel so we can feel some sense of accomplishment in getting some thorough revenge. Then after he's dead, we can go screw with someone with Viking boats and Zerks. Trust me, they are FUN to play with.
I think I would be okay with either option.

I've already explained the reasons...

On another subject (kinda), I only casually pay attention to baseball, and really only to the Braves when they're playing in my local market and beating up on the Nats. Just saw a highlight for the Tigers' pitcher Scherzer (18-1), who won again today. Who is THAT GUY with THAT RECORD? Where'd he come from?
Thought you might appreciate the distraction.

Isn't there a possibility that he might "go Commodore" on someone else? Other than that #1 is a good alternative (for me and Yossarian) since it means you can dedicate a lot of time to dedlurking us ![tongue tongue](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/RBOld/tongue.gif) (What do you mean I am being strongly biased here?)

I think what the warrior signifies is that Commodore is very close to us. He just settled city #2 a few turns ago. I'm assuming this warrior came from escorting that settler, and so we're very close.
No way am I picking #1. His actions next turn decide if I pick #2.

Thought you might appreciate the distraction. Without looking it up (I'm a baseball fan, though not a Tigers fan especially) Max Scherzer is an incredibly good pitcher who last year might well have been the ace of almost any staff that did not include Justin Verlander. Of course, his team does include Justin Verlander. And now you know part of the reason the Tigers were in the World Series last year and are running away with their division this year. (They also have some hitter named Miguel Cabrera, who is arguably playing better this year than he did last year ... when he won the triple crown.)
WITH looking it up: Baseball Referrence has his stats, of course. Last year, he struck out more than 11 batters per nine innings pitched, the best rate in the majors. Yeah.
