And I wouldn't say that we haven't offered any suggestions to you, Ruff. I've definitely offered advice beyond mechanics issues. I don't see anything wrong with that, it's not like I had any spoiler information.

This game has gotten back into a rhythm. I just lost out the race to Mining Inc because I decided to tech Corps instead of stealing it ... the EP to beaker ratio was too high - oh well ... I will fall back on plan B ... Creative Whatever for hammers and culture and Cerial Mills for food (I get more culture and food that way for the cost of 4 hammers per city).
I'll post a larger update later today.
In other news ... I have another pbem game that is on turn 8 that plays 1 tern per 3 days and I need a sub for about 10 days (2-4 turns) ... any takers?

Isk finished Railroad last turn ... 1 turn before I did. As I said above, I diviated from a straight blast through railroad to pick up Corporations. If I had stolen it, I would have been first to Railroad and I could have landed Mining Inc. I checked with Isk and he told me he had a GEng waiting to found it ... he didn't use the GEng that StarFox gave him.

Ok, so no Mining Inc for me. That means I need to swap my Corp combo from Mining Inc / Sid to Creative / Cereal ... costs me a few hammers but I pick up lots of culture and more food (based on current resource holdings) ...
