Or if you have a spot that has a world class tile for awhile and then gives it to another city so it can build a few wonders, I suggest 'Cavs'

Turn 087
This will be very abbreviated because there's almost nothing to report from this turn, and I'm a little short on time... but I did note Commodore is up to 8 cities.
It seems from Civstats that he settled 2 of those on this turn actually. Anyway, I'm kinda hoping Toronto is on a border with us so that we can settle "Bills" next to it. Maybe that would be tempting fate a little too much . There's really nothing else to report, but here is our eastern galley:
This island is a LOT bigger than I thought, and we're definitely going to be competing with Lewwyn for it. I'm seeing a lot of fish too, so overall that's pretty great. Given our uber boats and our UU, this is great news for us. We'll have a major edge if we ever have to fight over islands in this game.
That's all I've got for this turn. I did start a settler in Orioles. Pindicator, are you thinking incense city next? We really need a luxury honestly. We'll maybe get one from a Commodore trade in a few turns, but still. If Commodore rejects, our backup plan can be to offer copper + surplus gems to Black Sword for ivory since he rejected our copper/ivory trade. Actually... what do you think about trying that first? If we can get a happy without helping a neighbor, that sounds nice.

Uh, don't we need the copper long term?

We have iron, so Copper isn't doing anything for us right now. It also doesn't need to be a long-term trade, we'll have a lot more options to deal the gems elsewhere once we start meeting more overseas civs and people get resources hooked. For about 20 turns though, copper/gems for +1happy is pretty much fine for us.

Okay yeah I forgot that we have iron now so that's fine.

Yeah, that sounds good. I would almost offer the copper for horses now because we don't want to waste time in helping Black Sword fight off dtay's troops.
Edit: or offer copper + gold for ivory now...

Aren't we going to finish exploring the water tiles around the near island that we have a city on?

What made you think we weren't?
Or do you mean going farther north and east?

Well just to defog the southeast corner. I haven't seen any further defogged tiles in the recent screenshots.
