Hell yeah, that's a nice metaphor as well.
Also, I kinda disagree with GES's judgement regarding those workers. Rego tricked the workers out of WK fair and square, it was a risky move anyway with possible diplomatic repercussions what with the playing both sides. It's not like city gifting, which breaks Civ4's war and border rules, and the RB NAP culture.
Is it slimy? Yup. Is it unbalancing? Well, consider you need to establish some diplomatic rapport with your terminally ill victim, it takes some effort to do. So not in my opinion!

I have no problem with anyone disagreeing with me. My decision might've been the wrong one. I am often wrong.
That said, Rego didn't "trick" WK out of the workers. He merely asked for them, and WK gave them away because he was so checked out of the game that he could care less, other than plako not getting them. The only skill Rego exhibited was the naked self-interest to ask for them. IMO anyway.

So Elkad and Parkin are familiar with each other then? That may very well drastically change the course of the game, heh.

I don't expect Luddite to miss more than a week or so, so it shouldn't matter too much.

Elkad subbed into and played more than half of PB1. He is known to a fair few players.

Yeah, this. Except I'm probably more inclined to give someone a pass for justifiable arrogance, having worked with a few of both sorts I can't stand people who don't have the skills to back up the attitude but at least having skills makes the attitude understandable even if still unpalatable (especially to the whole British "don't blow your own trumpet" socialising ). You just can't tell the difference on first impression.
And both times I've been new round here I've found the place/people welcoming even to this noob - that's why I came back after a few years gap when I saw the Civ V announcement, I remembered this was a nice friendly place to find Civ players

I still try to find out what is the difference now between Rego getting 2 workers gifted by WK and Adlain getting workers "gifted" by WK. It seems for me it is pretty much the same thing (WK giving his workers away instead of denying them by deleting) except for that once it is a bigger and once it is a smaller civ which does win from it.

I can see your point Serdoa. I think there was more reaction to Rego because it was all well-documented before it happened.
We only discovered about this after the event. I think GES may need to speak to both parties & figure out how the Adlain war dec came about. If it was through WK's urging then I think the ruling should be consistent with the rego judgement, despite Adlain desperately needing all the workers he can get I imagine!

I am behind and not sure what is going on. But WK cannot gift them to Adlain either. But if Adlain just took them by force, then that is fine.
