By the way, it just occured to me a few minutes ago that Gunpowder Units which include Paratroopers, can't get the Blitz promo.
Luckily you didn't attempt to promote Paratroopers that way. Imagine such a way to waste your GGs...

Good job I didn't go that way indeed TBH, that sort of attack should only work against true newbies. Although, there should be a way to put blitz onto Paratroopers...

So sunrise renamed his capital Yorktown...well guess what, this time the British have bombers and the only red that there will be is his riflemens blood. But not this turn...
Smacked down his cities fort bonus with the 2 bombers and 2 fighters.
Didn't like the odds too much for a full attack but good enough to hit his machine guns. Took out 3 for the loss of one MG that will be upto mostly full health before I realised I had 2 extra fighters to attack with. That is seriously not fun to realise...he has something like 2MG, 11 rifles, 18 cats and a few other units, and I have 21 tanks that can blitz, 2 bombers, 4 fighters and another 9 tanks that can attack once. And 7 HA That city is down to 24% cultural defence and it won't be there next turn, with 2 bombers to collateral as well
Oh, and up to 58 tanks.
And WW hit. Damnit. Theatres and Colosseums all round then.

OK. York town fell to no losses. I bombed with fighters first so that I'd draw out the AA barrage from the MGs first, then hit with the bombers. It worked perfectly, 2 fighters got intercepted and the bombers collateral'ed the stack. The tanks then had odds no worse than 77% and usually in the mid 90's.
I then moved tanks in on three separate directions, to fork to southern cities, and started to move in on the two remaining northern cities. I need to see where the fifth city is taking it out.
I captured a coastal city from Kylearan just because I had a rifle in a boat with 90% odds against an archer. He can probably take the city back if he wants, hopefully he starts garrisoning his cities so my marines can start raking in the XP and GG points.
Then I fucked up and got a bit unlucky against Cyneheard, trying to wipe out his stack inside my land but managed to lose a fair few high odds battles with tanks and ended up having to use LB to take the stack out. The upside is I'm now at 89/90 on the next GG.
I proceeded to build Theattres everywhere as 1t builds because of the WW and upped the culture slider to 30%. Next turn can drop it to 20% most likely, or maybe 10% and build colluseums where needed, maybe even rush buy with penalty...

Love to, but the game crashed before I could take screenshots surficed to say I'm pissed off and Cyneheard said he took the hill back. I'm going to build a fair few bombers shortly.

This was a good turn, and there are screenshots. I've also done a bit of planning, trying to figure out how to deal with the annoying WW and found a rather...inventive method. Update to come shortly.

So what happened this turn? sunrise captured the southern front city I took on the first turn of the war and put in a rifle, explorer and quechua. Fairly bad idea, I had a tank outside it that could blitz it just in case he did this. One 88% battle win later, I've taken out the top two defenders. I know I have a GG that I can add to a unit, the unit that took Yorktown last turn to take it from 4.5 health to almost fullhealth (5 promotions for healing ) that can capture this city, and also take part in the attack in the middle city, Walcheren.
But before I did all this, I went to see what Cyneheardhad placed on the hill that I captured at high costs last turn.
So, 2 full health tanks, promote to C1/Pinch for 90% odds, and win both. I'm quite happy to leave it at that, but, hey, I'm being stupid here so I take the 54% battle and win every round. I then sacrifice a Jan to soften up a knight at 70ish%, and do no damage. Oh well, promote the rifle to C1 and win that battle losing no rounds. That rifle should be dead next turn though, but I don't care. I've gotten the GG points from the battle.
Still, if Cyneheard invaded I might have a few problems...that's a lot of units. Probably lose the front city, no I think about it, but should be able to hold the attack there. 30 tanks should probably neuter that stack on defense, using blitz.
Back to the good stuff, then.
I used the full health tanks that forked Walcheren and Corunna to whittle bothsides down to 1 unit. All the odds were 67% and higher (that was for the CD2 rifle in Wilcheren, the rest were 75% and higher), losing three tanks and winning 8 battles. So slightly worse than expected, but not really that bad. The list of units is the big stack just inside sunrises' lands. 14 tanks in varying states of health, but strong enough to attack a city with 2 MG plus a few rifles with 2 supporting bombers and then take out a ton of cats.
So, where is the hard to get sunrise city?
That's...not hard to get actually, but I will need a lot of units to take it. I'm kinda regretting not sending the HA south now, they'd be great to clearing out the shit from that city, but they'll take too long to get there. I want that city dead t162, and checking that it is on flatland, means I can blitz it. so 14 tanks in the main stack and 9 ina back up plus 2 bombers to dent any MG? Should be enough. Now, up to the north.
So, 8 healthy tanks, 7HA that are forking 2 Incan cities. 1 healthy tanks and 7 tanks from 19 helath upwards (mostly mid 20s) that can hit one Incan city, the one with the most units, the HE city over a river. 4 Bombers that can hit the city and no siege units to soak up the collateral. I should note I positioned the 2 new bombers to cover both the hard northern city and the newly discovered city, attack the HE city next turn and the corner city the turn after for maximum usage, and I've been punding hte HE city down from 80% defence to 24% at the end of this turn.
Either way, I'm fairly sure I can take out both northern cities next turn. sunrise should be able to get an MG and rifle into the HE city, and a rifle into the far northern city, but that shouldn't stop the number of tanks I have.
I also moved out 4 marines last turn, andhere is where I dropped them off:
sunrise broke through Darrells' front city a while ago it seems, so I'm hoping that if he does head for Mari I can stop him. Or I'lll just take Mari, I have 63% odds with a C1 Marine, 70% odds with slightly damaged C3 marine and I have a CG2 and G2 marine to place in that city as a road block. And a fighter on a carrier for a bit of help
So, that's the military side of things done.
And now to deal with that bastard WW. I need to do one of two things. Get rid ofthe WW, or get more happy. I'm not leaving US for PS, I have Rushmore already, and most cities have jails or just about to build them. So I can't get rid of any more WW. What happy can I get? Looking at hte map, I can see a gems I can get in something like 6-7 turns, but that's too long. Dyes? Perhaps I can settle them in 4-5 turns, still too long, but will get done.
Culture slider? Short term solution, inefficient when 20% costs me about 600 gold, but will do for a short term job. But let's consider that. 20% = 4 happy through theatres, at 600 gpt. In 5 turns that is 3k gold. How much does it cost to rush, say, Broadway, Rock N' Roll, and Eiffel?
Well, it turns out that it ain't much to get any one of them:
So, I'm going to rush RnR next turn, and build into Eiffel, and even chop a few forests to shave off a turn or two (or rather the gold needed). TRB will get rushed turn after I think, then I'll rush Eiffel around t164 which gives Broadcast towers in all cities, which double the effect of hit singles etc, which gives me an easy 4 happpiness.
Efficient? Probably not. Fun? Not really? Obnoxious as hell? Hell Yeah.
Oh, and Ilios? Still got 5 turns to go.

Brill update, just what I was after.
Just one nitpick, and it's nothing to do with the strategy - three of the pictures are side by side meaning that it is a long way to scroll left and right to read the narrative.
