If we continue to attack I, it seems that we have about 2-3 more years before G has a fleet in Tunis, since I don't think I will try to stop it. He'd probably rather lose to G than to R at this point. Dunno whether we can push through him in that tine, though so far A hasn't been able to do so in a couple years of trying (though he did a lot of defending in those 2 years as well.)
Yeah the plan changed. Really it came down to the fact that I was tired of playing in this game. Mostly because nobody really was diploming at all. It gets kind of annoying to keep playing in a game when every time the turn timer runs down you're like "hmm what am I doing?"
In perhaps a twist of irony  taking out Austria, and getting 4 builds (to put us up to 12 centers to Germany's 13) perhaps injects a bit of life into the game!
And to answer Cyneheard's question on IM, that is not the first time I have gotten 4 builds.
I actually got 6(!) builds once.

This was a nopress game and on the last turn, I went from 17 to 23 to win. I was guaranteed the win already but I figured I might as well try to get as many SCs as I could. it's (by far) the most SCs I've ever gotten in a game.

No, you gained 6 SCs. You couldn't build 6 units. That's what I was commenting on.

We may even be able to sneak 18 before IG realizes that WE are winning (and not Germany). Call it a "plako / Lord Parkin" to use a PB4 analogy (I don't think that's a spoiler at this point)
If I get this right...If you can take Nor/Swe and have 3 fleet sin that area, you could theoretically take out England for another 3, and smy. That's 18. All you would need to do is hold in Austria.

Well Germany has 5 northern fleets. So it may be difficult to do that. But it doesn't mean that we shouldn't try

Yes Germany has 5 northern fleets but can't you kill 2 of them?

Right - if we can take some of Germany's SCs he might disband some of his fleets. Of course, he may disband some of his French armies instead...

If we can convince I to try and make some gains at G's expense, he might not... but that could take an awful lot of convincing.

Good luck on winning this! Thanks Amelia, on behalf of the Russian team. I don't think we would have attacked you in the first place if you hadn't given away that you were considering attacking us first. At the time we were more thinking of attacking Austria, but your give-away changed our plans.

If we're going to make headway in Norway/Sweden, we have to move out ASAP before the English fleets get over here.
So, Lvn-Fin, StP -Bar, Most-StP?
Edi-Nwg, Lon-Nth and Kie-Bal mean that we're going to face a TON of pressure on the coasts very quickly there: Bar and Bot will be very hard to HOLD in the fall, so we're going to have to move from those spots in the fall. If we'd gotten these builds in last year, we'd be golden, because Germany couldn't afford to move on us and England with the same fleets.

Yeah, that give-away has horrible. The whole game i was undecided due to the fact of Austria's... "diplomacy" and the fact that Turkey can never win without Russia on the board, so i remained undecided till you stabbed me.
Then it was too late to matter.
