No, that's not the only reason.

Gold Ergo Sum Wrote:I'm not talking about the scout. I am saying from what you could see when you moved the settler (based on the screen you posted in this thread), there were only two possible tiles within the BFC that weren't revealed that could be seafood. But at least if you went S-SE with the settler, there were five tiles where seafood could've popped. Not sure what mousing over has to do with where you moved the settler, although I am happy to learn something new if there is a good reason for it. Gotcha. I was thinking you were talking S-SW (stupid directions, again). As for mousing over, people in this thread kept saying that we could mouse over the water to know if it was fresh water or coast, so I was saying that it was all in the fog before we moved.
You can mouse over a land tile next to the water to determine whether the adjacent body of water is saltwalter or not, since the tile would get fresh water if it isn't. That's assuming that the tile isn't adjacent to a river of course.

I'm tempted to quote one of Krill's opinions of you after hearing that...
In Soviet Russia, Civilization Micros You!
"Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must." “I have never understood why it is "greed" to want to keep the money you have earned but not greed to want to take somebody else's money.”
Thought I'd go back in the signup thread to see where Locke and Cervantes signed up just for giggles
Locke Wrote:Hey I am new here and I think I would like to sign up. I read some of sulla's games and ended up here. I dont know about all the settings yet and I dont really care that much. I am good with waiting to start this game cuz I am going to be really busy at Christmas lol. If we do like an official vote on the settings let me know. Thanks Gold Egro Sum! Sullla just couldn't keep the "Sullla exclamation point" out of that last sentence!! Then I chime in Quote:And no offense to Locke, and I do feel it's important to encourage new members, I would strongly encourage any newer members to sign up with a teammate. Locke Wrote:OK I will try to find someone to help. I have some friends who play Civ. Auction thing sounds very confusing. Simple is better I think. Don't like peolpe starting with 100 gold inside game that would be unfair. Cervantes Wrote:Delurks. This game sounds really interesting to me. I'll be your partner if you want. Good thing there was someone wanting to be his teammate!!!! Locke Wrote:OK thanks, we will be a team. Put me and this guy on official team list. Locke Wrote:No. Don't like this bidding system, don't like these ideas. Game will be decided based on who wins auction, not who is better at Civ. Feels like guessing game to me. I want to play Civ, not crazy mod setup. Why not just have snake pick like your other games? Someone screws up auction, gets bad leader combination, now has no chance to win game. I don't understand. |
