Looks good! Glad to see that gold resource pop up, even if every other team will have it as well. Just remember we don't need to make any decisions for another ten turns, so there will be plenty of time to explore this whole area first. I'm looking forward to creating some more micro plans once we have the deer/cows/gold area and the souther floodplains explored.

Also want to mention that mostly_harmless is doing a fantastic job with the turns. [Image: goodjob.gif]

Can the turn player try the low level fog route mapping - it reveals hills and the like.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Are you thinking of something like this?

Or are you thinking about using flying camera? I enabled it (though I'm not good at using it), but couldn't get it to activate here.

Ruff probably means the technique in the last set of images here.

I see. So you can see the elevation of the fogged tiles (either water, flat land, hills or mountains).
Ctrl-Alt-F enables Flying Camera. How do you lock the camera then, so you can go back and use the mouse to do the unit-pathfinding? There is a way to go into pathfinding mode first and then activate the flying camera, but that is too messy.

Do people know about the trick of finding cities in the fog?

You follow a road ...?

Sorry.

I logged in and tried some fog pathfinding, but didn't get that many results. The hill N-NE of the gold turned out to be a peak, and I think the area to our east is mostly flatland. Other than that, not much.

Do elaborate. I know there's a rebase trick come airships, but I'm guessing you had something else in mind?

Btw, did we ever use the goto command to figure out the exact map dimensions?
I have to run.
