So I'm playing around with pindicator's SIP WB first plan which I think is pretty much what we're going with. I wanted to see the effects of going for a settler before our second worker. Here's a breakdown of the standard plan:
0: wb, agri first
8: start worker
9: net fish
18: warrior on max food
23: grass wheat farmed
eo25: hit size 3, still warrior, pick up spice
eo27: bronze working in
28: cow pasture finished (first chops next)
eo28: hit size 4 while finishing warrior
29: start worker at size 4 (fish/wheat/spice/cow)
32: chop into worker finishes 2nd worker eot
33: start settler. 1 worker mines ph, other chops
36: chop completes settler EoT
Now, on T29 I kind of like the idea of going with a settler there instead of a worker. The first 28 turns are all the same, so I'll omit those and pick up at T29:
29: start settler at size 4 (fish/wheat/spice/cow)
32: chop finishes into settler
34: settler finishes EoT, overflows 11h
35: start worker
36: chop finishes worker EoT
So settler-worker sacrifices a plains hill mine for getting our second city 2 turns faster. Depending on our surroundings, I think that's pretty likely to be a worthwhile trade off. Any thoughts on that?
