Plus no state income tax! It's all Darrell's fault.

And you can get a better extension if you re-sign with your current team.
Technically, LeBron DID re-sign with Cleveland when he left, but it was a "sign-and-trade" where he got shipped to Miami immediately thereafter - Cleveland got some draft picks out of the deal, IIRC.
The NBA has really weird trading rules.

What happened to naming the capital in my favor? The map might be out but I can still make bad ju ju happen to you if you don't pay proper tribute...

Yeah, it's crazy when teams hire experts just to know all the intricacies of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I've only moved 1 SW so far, since that seemed the obvious start. SW or NW here?
Also, notice how many people didn't settle on t0. Seven of them!

I prefer SW - I want to see that river area.

I'll chime in on SW.
As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master. - Commissioner Pravin Lal, "U.N. Declaration of Rights"

So I went to log in, and I meant to complain about this the other day, but I forgot... So now seems as good a time as any. This:
IS UNACCEPTABLE. Now we all know Brick put us last on the order just to screw with me. That's because he's a jerk. After sending the starting save off to sunrise he probably celebrated by kicking a puppy. Anyway, the issue is we have to SCROLL to get to our leader. Do you have any idea how much work this is?? It adds at least 3-4 seconds to logging in, and considering I'll probably log in roughly twice/turn over the course of several hundred turns, we're looking at probably 600 logins, or 1800 seconds. That's 30 minutes. I'll spend HALF AN HOUR of my life scrolling down for this game. That's just me, not even factoring in pindicator's logins. And I'll probably spend at least 9 minutes complaining about it over the course of the game (this was about 1.5). So anyway, the solution is clear: we need to kill enough people so as not to have to scroll down. Sound good?! Anyway, on to Things Which Matter:
I guess I could make up some ridiculous role-play story for our scout so as to pretend a scout moving 1 tile is interesting, but it's not. We do have 3 hill tiles that are exactly 2 tiles away, so we should probably move onto one of them next turn for extra visibility. Any thoughts on that? I kind of like the S-SW grass hill, but my "do I actually care" meter is extraodinarily low for this sort of thing. Also, here are some random numbers of a demographical nature:
As usual I won't do extensive C&D, but we can conclude the following:
* Plako and dtay are neighbors due to a river trade connection between their capitals.
* Some people have forests in their capital
* JesterNakor settled on a river, walls first which they plan on whipping.
* Commodore is opening barracks first which I would point out is surprising and ridiculous, but given the player in this case I'll avoid the redundancy.
* Due to the Great Scrolling Incident... Instead of comparing terrible things to Hitler like is the stereotypically preferred comparison on the internet, I'm going to skip the cliche and instead make all comparisons to Brick. Example: "Commodore is a big jerk for declaring war on anything that moves, he is LITERALLY BRICKASTLEY." I think it works pretty nicely.

I like going S-SW. The tiles east of that will get sight on them when the capital's borders expand.
And 2 civs have now moved twice with their opening settler. I hope there's a plan. No, that's not true. I just hope they're our neighbors.
