Turn 090

So I logged in to this:

Any guesses? Resource trade offer where both resources disappeared or something? Kinda strange. Anyway, Mackoti did accept our map trade:

That's MH up there btw:

Anyway, I think no more map trades for us until circumnav is taken. We're actually not super far away:

Anyway, I offered peace to suttree, and I declared on Mackoti to pass through around south. I'll stay way clear of his seafood as always. Out east we're about to meet another person too:

Looks like Bacchus of remarkably bad PYFT rating. Anyway, back home the gems are connected and Nakor settled this:

Should fit in decently enough with our dotmap later.

Awesome, we appear to be as far away from mackoti as is reasonably possible on this map

Looks like we'll be ready to turn the science jets to 100 in 2 turns. So Calendar in 9. We should start preparing for your Mom.

I hope you noticed that there's iron at that city scooter. And they have Iron Working because the tile is showing 2h...

Took a quick peek in game, and i tlooks like we are going to land Calendar in 8 turns, and the border at Timbers will pop in 9 turns. So that's awkward.

We'll want the roads built before t99, so when the borders pop t99 we can move 3 workers onto the marble and quarry it in 2 turns. There's 7 workers on the mainland so we can have 3 to do that and the other 4 to chop up north.

For preparing Trailblazers... we want to get that city to size 7 before we start MoM. At size 7 it can work Fish, Cows, Iron, 2 grass hills, and 2 plains hills and be food neutral. That will be 23hpt and with marble's bonus that will make MoM at 10t build just with base mfg. That means we need to mine+chop the forest SE of the city, and we need to mine the bare plains S-SW of the capital. The 2 workers that just mined the gems (Terry Porter & Henrik Zetterberg) can move to the bare plains hill and mine it next turn. Yes, wastes a worker turn moving them both, but you're going to waste a turn transitioning the one anyway so may as well waste it moving to the plains hill mine. They move t91, mine t92 & 93, move and pre-chop+mine the forested plains hill on t94-96. Then send one down to the marble and the other can help prechop.

No, Really, we don't want to finish chopping forests until the last turn we'd finish MoM, so it's okay to get our workers in the south to hook up the marble first, so long as the forests are all prepped and ready to be chopped. So something like:

Henrik Zetterberg
t91: move to the forest 3S of Trailblazers
t92-93: road said forest
t94-95: pre-chop that forest (2/3 done)
t96-98: something
t99-100: quarry the marble

Damian Lillard:
t91-92: finish chopping the banana
t93: something
t94: move to forest NE of Timbers
t95-96: road forest
t97-98: road marble tile
t99-100: quarry the marble

Damon Stoudamire
t91-92: finish chopping tree into TImbers
t93: move to new tree
t94-96: chop new tree into timbers
t97-98: something
t99-100: quarry the marble

Terry Porter
t91: move to the plains hill
t92-95: mine the plains hill
t96: pre-chop the fph SE of the capital (put it at 2/3 done)
t97-99: pre-mine the fph (3 turns worth)
t100: finish chopping forest into Trailblazers

Yeah, this. I strongly suggest our city with a barracks build some axes, because we've gone and pissed off the Praetorian guy.

Turn 091

So we're puzzling over ways to optimize pindicator's MoM plan. I think we can speed it up by a couple turns by triple chopping a library in Timbers. That'll get it into our borders a bit quicker. As long as we can shave a half turn off our Calendar ETA (very doable), I think we can probably speed the wonder up by 2 turns? Not 100% sure yet. 1 turn is super doable. Anyway, here's the tweak I told you about pindicator:

Bumps us up a size, squeezes out some extra commerce, etc. Plus we need to delay that settler by a turn or two anyway so it doesn't harm our Calendar ETA. Nice thing is between the ivory and gems, we suddenly have some pop we can add:

Every city is below happy cap right now. Nice feeling. Overview of our empire:

Pindicator - I did move most of the workers prior to thinking up the library thing, so that's why a couple look the way they do. Demos are a little odd since we're emphasizing growth and commerce right now:

Also, hello Big Scary Lewwyn Machine:

He landed Confu, and he also has Currency already. He's doing, well, KIND OF GOOD. Cottages and Hamlets everywhere too. Nicely done by those guys taking their fantastic start and making the most of it.

Lucky holy city placement for Lewwyn.

Can you tell based off tile yields whether they have IW yet? I can't see if the yield is absent (so no IW) or if it is just hidden behind the resource icon. Also, what is his city count?
